    Abstract: The detection apparatus (100) of the first example embodiment includes a position determination unit (12), an extraction unit (14), a model selection unit (16), and a detection unit (18). The position determination unit (12) determines a position of a subject in a 3D radar image. The extraction unit (14) extracts a 3D sub-image from the 3D radar image by using a reference position based on the determined position of the subject and one of extraction sizes specified for each type of subject. The model selection unit (16) selects at least a learned model based on at least one of a size of the 3D sub-image and a type of the subject included in the 3D radar image. The detection unit (18) which detects an object in the 3D sub-image by using the selected learned model.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods for detecting and classifying the proximity of a human to a wireless antenna. The device may include a processor configured to receive information representing an incident wave and a reflected wave of a transmission on the wireless antenna. The processor may also be configured to analyze the information using one or more classification models, wherein each of the one or more classification models comprise a machine-learning-based classifier that determines, based on the information, whether the object is within a threshold proximity to the wireless antenna, a classification of the object, and/or a separation-distance between the wireless antenna and the object.

    Abstract: A system comprises a radar altimeter that produces range-to-ground measurements; an aided INS or AHRS that produces vertical acceleration, roll, and pitch measurements; an air data system that produces barometric altitude measurements; and a processor including a BIV hybrid filter, and a RAIV hybrid filter set. The BIV hybrid filter receives the vertical acceleration measurements and the barometric altitude measurements. The RAIV hybrid filter set receives input measurements comprising the vertical acceleration, roll, and pitch measurements, BIV hybrid filter statistics, and the range-to-ground measurements. The RAIV hybrid filter set comprises a plurality of hybrid filters that operate in parallel with each other in respective filter slots. A hybrid filter in each filter slot operates on partially overlapping, time limited staggered intervals of the input measurements, with respect to other hybrid filters in other filter slots. Estimated vertical navigation statistics are computed based on input statistics processed in the filter slots.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides an intelligent monitoring system and method for wire net wafering. The system includes a monitoring unit, equipped with a monitor for capturing position data of cutting wires in a wire net; and a control unit, provided with a controller for receiving the data captured by the monitor, processing the data and notifying a wafering machine based on results of the processing to perform optimization and adjustment. This can solve the technical problem of being unable to monitor the status of a wire net in real time during a wafering process in the existing arts, automatically monitor the status of curvature of the wire net, judge whether the status of the wire net is abnormal, and effectively notify the wafering machine in time, if a problem is encountered, to perform parameter adjustment or transfer to manual intervention.

    Abstract: A system and method of automated hardware verification and machine learning training using an automated object mover. The automated object mover consists of a ceiling or floor mounted rail. Two vertical poles are mounted on rails and can travel horizontally along the rails. Mechanical mechanisms are included such that the height and trajectory of the object as it passes through the gateway can be modified. Vertical poles are placed between the vertical columns and can travel through the gateway columns. Comparison of collected data from an automated data mover approach compared to a person walking through the gateway system approach produces data similar to an idealized object response for the object moving through the gateway at a constant speed and in zero environmental noise. Different types of collected data can be blended together to create a comprehensive machine learning dataset for training of robust alerting models for various objects.

    Abstract: Aspects described herein include methods and devices for radar integration with a mmW communication module. In some aspects, an apparatus is provided that includes a millimeter wave (mmW) printed circuit board (PCB), with first and second mmW elements, and a radar antenna. The first mmW element is coupled to a first side of the mmW PCB, where the first mmW element is configured for wireless mmW communications at frequencies above approximately 24 gigahertz (GHz). A second mmW element coupled to the first side of the mmW PCB, where the second mmW element is positioned adjacent to the first mmW element and is separated from the first mmW element by a gap spacing. A radar antenna is disposed in the mmW PCB and aligned with the gap spacing between the first mmW element and the second mmW element.
