    摘要: A method of mass transfer includes the steps of: supplying a first fluid and a second fluid into a mass transfer apparatus, wherein the mass transfer apparatus includes a vessel which has a head region, a base region and a mass transfer region, wherein the first fluid is brought into contact with the second fluid at least in the mass transfer region, wherein the mass transfer region is arranged between the head region and the base region and the mass transfer region includes a structured packing which includes a plurality of neighboring layers of fabric which includes fiber strands of a non-metallic material. The mass transfer apparatus is operated at a fluid load of at most 3 m3/m2/h. The fabric of the structured packing includes fiber strands of a non-metallic material which are formed as weft threads, wherein the weft threads have a yarn count of at least 100 g/1000 m and the weft threads include at least 20 yarns/25.4 mm.

    摘要: The invention concerns a corrugated packing module for treating a fluid delimited by two channels (18). It comprises a running zone (4) whereof the channels define ridge lines (26) having a global sloping direction (D1) relative to a general direction of circulation (Df) of the fluid. The strip comprises a transition zone (6, 8) adjacent to the running zone (4). Each ridge line (26) of the transition zone (6, 8) extends inside a specific zone centered on a curve (A) which extends tangentially the ridge line (26) of the running zone (4). The radial width (Lr) is 10% of the corresponding radius of curvature of the curve (A). The radius of curvature (Rc) of the curve (A) is at all points 1.5 times greater than the hydraulic diameter (Dh) of a channel (18). The invention is applicable to air distillation columns.

    摘要: An ordered column packing—in the form of packing layers containing flow channels (2)—has a foil-like material (1) with a fine structuring (10). The foil-like material is profiled with concave structure elements (3b; minus sign −) and convex structure elements (3a; plus sign +) in an alternating arrangement. An average distance “a” exists between centers of adjacent concave and convex structure elements respectively. This average distance “a” is substantially smaller than a distance between centerlines (20) of adjacent flow passages. The foil-like material has a second fine structuring in the form of regularly arranged apertures (5). An average distance “b” between centers of adjacent apertures is smaller than the average distance “a”, preferably smaller by at least 50%; and edges (51, 52) of the apertures have in each case a shape including convex and concave locations (6a, 6b).
