摘要: A steering control unit performs lane keeping control to cause a steering system to operate to reduce a distance between a width-direction center position of a lane and a position where the vehicle is traveling in the lane on the basis of a recognized state of the lane obtained by a lane recognizing unit. A road condition determining unit determines whether the road on which the vehicle is traveling is a straight road. A lane keeping responsivity setting unit sets, when it is determined by the road condition determining unit that the road on which the vehicle is traveling is a straight road, responsivity of the lane keeping control to the distance to be lower than responsivity set when it is determined that the road on which the vehicle is traveling is not a straight road.

摘要: A steering apparatus and a steering assist method are capable of being preferably used for a first curve and a second carve which are different in cornering direction and which are sequentially provided. When a vehicle travels through the first curve and the second curve, a controller in the steering apparatus shifts a steering angle control value with respect to a steering angle detection value in response to returning of a steering wheel and decrease of steering assist torque to a torque threshold value while the vehicle is running in the first curve and starts generation of the steering assist torque for the second curve before the steering angle detection value returns to a sensor median due to returning of the steering wheel.

摘要: A control apparatus of a vehicle includes a collision determination unit configured to determine whether there is the possibility that the vehicle will collide with an object moving in a direction intersecting a longer direction of the vehicle, a signal determination unit configured to determine whether or not a traffic light in front of the vehicle is red, and a braking control unit configured to apply braking force to the vehicle. When the vehicle is travelling toward an intersection, in a case where it is determined that there is the possibility that the vehicle will collide with the moving object, the braking control unit applies higher braking force, and in a case where it is not determined that there is such a possibility and it is determined that the traffic light is red, the braking control unit applies lower braking force.

In a case where the vehicle is travelling on a first road, and makes a turn toward a first traffic lane of a second road intersecting the first road, the apparatus does not set a vehicle that is travelling on a second traffic lane of the second road that is farther from the vehicle than the first traffic lane, as a target for the avoidance operation, if a predetermined condition is not satisfied, or irrespective of whether or not the predetermined condition is satisfied, and sets a vehicle that is travelling on the first traffic lane, as the target, irrespective of whether or not the predetermined condition is satisfied.
