Abstract:
A system and method of rendering an authoritative image on a graphical display that is part of a critical system wherein image data is received from a source and the image data is stored in a storage module. The plurality of partial images are then generated from a subset of the image data, the partial images can include an indicator. The plurality of images are then combined to form the image, and the image is presented in a single graphical display. The image can then be evaluated by an operator for validity and correctness.
Abstract:
The present invention includes methods for removing mineral acids, mineral salts and contaminants, such as metal impurities, ash, terpenoids, stilbenes, flavonoids, proteins, and other inorganic products, from a lignocellulosic feedstock stream containing organic acids, carbohydrates, starches, polysaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, sugars, sugar alcohols, phenols, cresols, and other oxygenated hydrocarbons, in a manner that maintains a portion of the organic acids and other oxygenated hydrocarbons in the product stream.
Abstract:
A gasoline vapor treating system includes a single hydrocarbon filter apparatus interconnected to a fuel tank having a range of vapor pressures therein, said filter apparatus receiving hydrocarbon vapors from said tank for one vapor pressure in said fuel tank and said filter apparatus delivering air and hydrocarbon vapor to said tank from said filter responsive to another vapor pressure in said tank lower than said one vapor pressure, said filter operated serially between hydrocarbon loading and hydrocarbon unloading cycles without reference to any other hydrocarbon removal apparatus. A balance nozzle includes a mechanism to mechanically operate a vapor valve therein before the fuel valve is opened.
Abstract:
An apparatus (10) includes a battery (12) that has a positive terminal (50) and a negative terminal (52). At least one layer of electrical insulating material (60) is disposed on one of the positive terminal (50) and the negative terminal (52). At least one electrically conductive circuit layer (62) is disposed on the at least one layer of electrical insulating material (60).

Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and method for integrating one or more electronic transcription systems (12) having sessions providing data on a network (18) wherein real-time, two-way interactive access to the data by one or more remote users to the system is provided. In particular, the system and method provides one or more electronic transcription systems operably connected such that one or more users can access one or more of the electronic transcription systems. By networking the one or more electronic transcription systems and decoupling the processes of recording a particular transcription session, storing the data from the session on a network, and accessing the data, a wider range of control, access, and utilization of the electronic transcription systems can be accomplished.
Abstract:
A lighted post includes a stanchion and a light assembly. The light assembly includes a body, with a light emitting surface, and a light source that is coupled to the body. The light assembly is adapted for coupling to a power source for powering the light source. When powered light from the light source is directed into the body and is directed from the body through the light emitting surface. The light assembly is mounted to the stanchion, with the body being located in a light transmitting opening provided in the stanchion, such that the light emitting surface faces outwardly from the stanchion to thereby direct light outwardly from the stanchion.
