摘要: An example apparatus for encoding video frames includes a mask selector to select a subset of visual masks according to an actual target compression ratio and GOP configuration and a complexity estimator to estimate a picture level spatial/temporal complexity for a current frame. The example apparatus further includes a GOP adaptive visual mask selector to specify a visual mask from the subset of the visual masks corresponding to the estimated spatial and temporal complexity value a good enough picture QP deriver to derive a good enough picture QP value using the visual mask. The example apparatus also includes an adjustor to adjust the good enough picture QP value based on block level human visual system sensitivity and statistics of already encoded frames to obtain a final human visual system QP map.

摘要: A video processing method includes: obtaining N video frame sequences of an input video, each video frame sequence comprising at least one video frame image, and N being an integer greater than 1; obtaining an ith video frame sequence and an adjacent (i−1)th video frame sequence from the N video frame sequences, i being an integer greater than 1; obtaining a first video frame image from the ith video frame sequence, and obtaining a second video frame image from the (i−1)th video frame sequence, the first video frame image corresponding to a first image attribute, and the second video frame image corresponding to a second image attribute; obtaining first computing power corresponding to encoding of the (i−1)th video frame sequence; and determining an encoding parameter of the ith video frame sequence according to at least one of the first computing power, the first image attribute, and the second image attribute.

Such data include at least the minimum, maximum, and average luminance values in the source data plus optional data that may include the color volume x and y chromaticity coordinates for the input color primaries (e.g., red, green, and blue) of the source data, and the color x and y chromaticity coordinates for the color primaries corresponding to the minimum, average, and maximum luminance values in the source data. Messaging data signaling an active region in each picture may also be included.

摘要: In accordance with a first aspect, the intra prediction direction of a neighboring, intra-predicted block is used in order to predict the extension direction of the wedgelet separation line of a current block, thereby reducing the side information rate necessitated in order to convey the partitioning information. In accordance with a second aspect, the idea is that previously reconstructed samples, i.e. reconstructed values of blocks preceding the current block in accordance with the coding/decoding order allow for at least a prediction of a correct placement of a starting point of the wedgelet separation line, namely by placing the starting point of the wedgelet separation line at a position of a maximum change between consecutive ones of a sequence of reconstructed values of samples of a line of samples extending adjacent to the current block along a circumference thereof. Both aspects may be used individually or in combination.

The techniques further include evaluating TCs using statistical data for neighborhoods of the TCs to select an action for a respective TC, including adjusting the respective TC or maintaining the respective TC.
