摘要: Various embodiments of the present invention provide a method and electronic device for supporting an edge computing service (e.g., a multi-access edge computing (MEC) service). An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises a network interface, and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: acquire, using the network interface, information relating to applications which can be provided within a base station or to at least one external server connectable through the base station by the at least one external server; select an external server including an application corresponding to a specified condition, on the basis of the information relating to the applications; and perform data transmission with the selected external server. Various embodiments are possible.

A second supercluster has a plurality of second machines and a bridge between the first supercluster and the second supercluster. A first machine is configured to receive, via the bridge, an availability status and resource allocation information of each second machine and publish, on the Pub-Sub channel of the first supercluster, the availability status and the resource allocation information.

摘要: Some embodiments provide a novel method for deploying different virtual networks over several public cloud datacenters for different entities. For each entity, the method (1) identifies a set of public cloud datacenters of one or more public cloud providers to connect a set of machines of the entity, (2) deploys managed forwarding nodes (MFNs) for the entity in the identified set of public cloud datacenters, and then (3) configures the MFNs to implement a virtual network that connects the entity's set of machines across its identified set of public cloud datacenters. In some embodiments, the method identifies the set of public cloud datacenters for an entity by receiving input from the entity's network administrator. In some embodiments, this input specifies the public cloud providers to use and/or the public cloud regions in which the virtual network should be defined. Conjunctively, or alternatively, this input in some embodiments specifies actual public cloud datacenters to use.

摘要: A storage system management application contains control logic configured to enable the storage system management application to fully orchestrate setup of a containerized cloud communication system within embedded operating system, with minimal interaction from an end user. Upon receipt of an instruction to initiate cloud access, the storage system management application enrolls a cloud tethering subsystem and establishes a secure communication channel to the cloud tethering subsystem. The storage system management application also creates a cloud protection environment within the operating system for use by the cloud tethering subsystem, and registers the storage system to the cloud tethering subsystem. The storage system management application also creates external network interfaces on the cloud tethering subsystem and configures one or more private cloud provider endpoints on the cloud tethering subsystem.

摘要: A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The tunnel device is selected based on an attribute, such as IP Geolocation. A tunnel bank server stores a list of available tunnels that may be used, associated with values of various attribute types. The tunnel devices initiate communication with the tunnel bank server, and stays connected to it, for allowing a communication session initiated by the tunnel bank server. Upon receiving a request from a client to a content and for specific attribute types and values, a tunnel is selected by the tunnel bank server, and is used as a tunnel for retrieving the required content from the web server, using standard protocol such as SOCKS, WebSocket or HTTP Proxy. The client only communicates with a super proxy server that manages the content fetching scheme.

摘要: A provider network implements service discovery and renaming. A provider network includes a domain name service (DNS) and a renaming tool. The DNS receives queries for service names and sends query logs to a data store. Each query log indicates the queried name and a network address (e.g., IP address). A user may request that the service be renamed to a new name. In response, the renaming tool adds a new entry to for the new name to the DNS. The renaming tool retrieves data from the query logs and identifies clients of the service. The renaming tool sends a notification to the identified clients that the name has changed to the new name. The renaming manger retrieves additional data from the query logs to identify how many of the clients have switched to using the new name. After enough clients have switched, the old name may be decommissioned.

The system may select a particular edge computing device based on the location of the particular UE, and may output, in response to the request, a particular IP address of the selected edge computing device.
