摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for enforcing at least one rule associated with a geofence. At least one device is constructed and configured in network communication with a server platform and a database. The server platform defines at least one geofence for a region of interest and specifies at least one rule associated with the at least one geofence, thereby creating a rule-space model for the region of interest. The at least one geofence comprises a multiplicity of geographic designators with each geographic designator assigned with a unique IPv6 address. The at least one device receives at least one notification signal regarding the at least one rule from the at least one server platform and implements the at least one rule when the at least one device is within a predetermined distance from the at least one geofence for the region of interest.

摘要: A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The tunnel device is selected based on an attribute, such as IP Geolocation. A tunnel bank server stores a list of available tunnels that may be used, associated with values of various attribute types. The tunnel devices initiate communication with the tunnel bank server, and stays connected to it, for allowing a communication session initiated by the tunnel bank server. Upon receiving a request from a client to a content and for specific attribute types and values, a tunnel is selected by the tunnel bank server, and is used as a tunnel for retrieving the required content from the web server, using standard protocol such as SOCKS, WebSocket or HTTP Proxy. The client only communicates with a super proxy server that manages the content fetching scheme.

摘要: The described technology is generally directed towards configuring a client device with client configuration data based on client context data. The configuration data can include endpoints of various services to which the client can connect that are appropriate for the client device based on the client context data, along with dimension information (route key values) for connecting to each such service. For example, a roaming client device can be given an endpoint and dimension information to connect to a content service in the roaming region, with a different endpoint and dimension information for communicating user information to a home region to which the user is affiliated. This facilitates single hop/reduced latency for content requests, and compliance with home regulations via a single hop to the home service.

摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for processing local search results. In one aspect, a method determines a first local document in a set of local documents for search results is eligible for a demotion operation. The determination is based at least in part on a proximity measure based on the location of the user device and a location specified for the first local document. In response to the determination, for each other local documents in the set of local documents, a proximity measure location of the user device and the location specified for the other local document is determined. The first local document is demoted in its ranking when at least one of the proximity measures indicates a respective other local document has a specified location that is within a threshold distance of the location of the user device.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a CDN utilizing a Direct Server Return (DSR) request command to create a tunnel from one content server to another content server of the CDN. Through the DSR tunnel, a request for content may be served from a content server that is more advantageous for the CDN for any number of reasons, such as from a content server that is logically closer to the content server. In determining when a DSR tunnel is created to provide the content, the CDN may access a database storing various information concerning the CDN, such as the location of egress gateways of the CDN in relation to one or more content servers, connecting network location information, the capabilities of one or more content servers, and/or load information of available content servers.

摘要: Technology for communicating by embedding messages in DNS requests/responses is disclosed. In many cases it is desirable for a device to communicate without that device having to supply network credentials. In some network environments, credentials are not required to send or receive DNS messages. The question section of a DNS request message may include a message for a destination DNS server and a query domain which, when using standard DNS routing, will result in the DNS request being directed to the intended destination DNS server. The message may be encoded in such a way that an algorithm run by the destination DNS server is able to parse the message from the DNS request.

A user-specified change to the avatar representation is received and the avatar representation is changed based on the user-specified change. A current status of the user is determined, and an updated avatar representation is generated based on the current status of the user. The updated avatar is displayed in association with a communication of the user.

Disclosed example apparatus are also to determine a most used Internet Protocol address from the plurality of Internet Protocol addresses, determine a geographic location corresponding to the most used Internet Protocol address, associate a geographic area with the media device in response to a determination that the geographic location corresponds to a location of an internet service provider, determine a demographic profile associated with the geographic area, and associate the demographic profile with the media device.
