    Abstract: Triangulation photoelectric proximity sensor (1) having a first light emitter (2) for emitting transmitted light into a detection zone (3), a transmitting optical system (4), in particular a lens, being arranged upstream of the light emitter (2), a first light receiver (6) having an array of receiving elements (5) for receiving light from the detection zone (3), which is remitted by an object (7) to be detected, the receiving elements (5) generating respective received signals, a receiving optical system (8) arranged in the beam path between detection zone (3) and first light receiver (6) for generating a light spot from the remitted light on the first light receiver (6), wherein the position of the light spot in the triangulation direction on the first light receiver (6) results in dependence on the distance of the object (7), and a control and evaluation unit (9) for generating a detection signal from the received signals on the basis of the position of the light spot on the first light receiver (6), wherein a further second light transmitter (2) is provided as a reference light transmitter (12) for safety-oriented self-testing.

    Abstract: A process for dynamic vehicular threat detection perimeter modification for an exited vehicular occupant includes prior to detecting a vehicular occupant exiting the vehicle, establishing a first sized vehicular geofence surrounding the vehicle as a function of one or more stored vehicular perimeter distances. The first sized vehicular geofence is monitored for a first breach via one of a 360 degree vehicular light imaging and radio wave distancing system. In response to detecting that the vehicular occupant previously inside the vehicle has exited the vehicle, the one or more stored vehicular perimeter distances is modified as a function of a detected location of the exited vehicular occupant to establish a second sized vehicular geofence surrounding the vehicle different than the first sized vehicular geofence. The second sized vehicular geofence is monitored for a second breach via one of the 360 degree vehicular light imaging and radio wave distancing system

    Abstract: A security sensor system is provided which allows the stopping of the device due to the end of a battery life to be postponed by suppressing battery power consumption, which is caused due to an object detection operation of the security sensor system, after a low battery state is detected. The security sensor system is powered by a battery. When a low battery detector detects a reduction in the voltage of the battery, an object detection operation of the security sensor system is switched from a normal mode to a suppression mode. Consumption of the battery in the suppression mode is suppressed.

The methods involve: simultaneously emitting a first signal from a first emitter and a second signal from a second emitter; concurrently detecting the first and second signals during a first period of time by each of a first detector and a second detector; and determining where the object or person is within the EAS detection zone based on a pattern of a signal output from at least one of the first and second detectors which reflects that at least one of the first and second signals is blocked by the object or person during at least one of a second period of time and a third period of time in which the object or person is traveling through the EAS detection zone.

    Abstract: An array of paired V-band sensors is provided to act as a virtual fence to detect human intrusion. Each sensor includes a rotating circuit board that includes an antenna array. The sensor pivots the circuit board with regard to a weight base to align with an opposing sensor. By alternatively transmitting and receiving with regard to the opposing sensor, a V-band bistatic radar system is enabled that detects human intrusion between the opposing sensors.
