Abstract: A method for predictive analysis for maintaining a battery charge of a personal monitoring device is provided. The method includes: locking the personal monitoring device to a limb of a monitored person; collecting historical information about the personal monitoring device including movement data of the personal monitoring device and battery charging history of the personal monitoring device; analyzing the collected historical information for patterns of battery charging behavior; receiving a current location of the personal monitoring device; determining whether to send a battery charge reminder to the monitored person, based on at least a current location of the personal monitoring device, a current batter charge, and the patterns of battery charging behavior; and providing, in response to a positive outcome of the determining, a notification to the monitored person to charge the battery.

Abstract: An integrated security system that includes a security coprocessor coupled to a conventional security system panel and an interactive security system. The integrated security system enables conventional security system features as well as the consumer-oriented interactive features and functions of an interactive security system without sacrificing reliability or the significant burden and cost associated with frequent software updates associated with conventional security systems. Abstract: Systems and methods for preventing the unauthorized removal of mobile processor-based devices from designated areas (e.g., inside of a shopping area). The system may utilize a beacon technology based on a low energy protocol to prevent unauthorized removal of the devices. An anti-theft beacon system which includes an RF beacon transmitter may be positioned proximate an exit of a designated area. Mobile processor-based devices detect beacon signals from the anti-theft beacon system. Responsive to such detection, a device determines that it has been removed from the designated area. The device may then perform one or more anti-theft actions, including operating as a beacon once removed from the designated area. An auxiliary power source may power a beacon of the mobile processor-based device when the mobile processor-based device has been removed from the designated area so that the beacon may still broadcast signals even when a primary power source is disabled.

The DC power backup source may be replaceable or rechargeable with DC current from and AC-DC transformer, a photovoltaic cell, or other means. Electronic relays within the system provide a current to the dedicated circuit by selecting between the line-voltage alternating current source and the DC power backup.
