    摘要: An adjustable parallelism brake device for brake pads includes a pivotal arm, a main body connected to the pivotal arm, a driving disc, and an attached body to which the main body is connected. The pivotal arm is connected between the main body the driving disc. The driving disc includes a flat bearing and a flat washer mounted thereto to contact the main body. A directional drive disc is located below the driving disc. Multiple adjustable screws threadedly extend through the directional drive disc, and each have a head which supports a first friction pad. The attached body includes multiple flat threaded columns, and each flat threaded column supports a second friction pad. A pin passes through the first and second friction pads and is secured to the attached body. The friction pads angle is adjusted by the adjustable screws to prevent deformation due to prolonged use in the same position.

    摘要: An electromechanical brake and an operating method thereof are disclosed. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, there may be provided an electromechanical brake including: a piston which is provided to be capable of advancing and retreating to press a pad plate; a power conversion unit including a spindle which rotates by receiving a driving force from an actuator, and a nut which is connected to the spindle and advances or retreats by rotation of the spindle in a first direction or a second direction; and a positioning portion which is screwed with a thread formed inside the piston, receives a rotational force from a drive motor, linearly moves according to rotational movement, and adjusts a relative position of the piston with respect to the power conversion unit, wherein the positioning portion includes a first screw provided on an outer surface of one side of the nut and having, on an outer peripheral surface, a first thread that meshes with the thread, a second screw provided on an outer side surface of the other side of the nut and having, on an outer peripheral surface, a second thread that meshes with the thread, a first gear provided to rotate together with the second screw by receiving the rotational force from the drive motor, and an interlocking member provided between the first screw and the second screws to interlock and linearly move the first and second screws by the rotation of either the first screw or the second screw and adjust a relative position with the piston.

    摘要: A brake system comprises: a caliper housing having a bore formed therein; a brake piston slidably positioned in the bore of the caliper housing; and a spindle/nut assembly associated with the brake piston. The spindle/nut assembly comprises: a spindle; a spindle nut operably engaged with the spindle; and a disc type spring comprising a curved plate radially surrounding the spindle. The disc type spring is disposed between the spindle nut and the spindle to provide a resilient force between the spindle nut and the spindle. The disc type spring prevents the hard stop of the brake piston to the spindle/nut assembly and provide a soft stop. The disc type spring decreases a shock to the brake system, increases the durability of the spindle/nut assembly, and decrease the cost of the brake system.

    摘要: An improved self-adjusting automatic slack adjuster for reducing slack in the brake of a vehicle is provided, in which an easily accessible external operating feature permits the automatic slack adjuster's one-way clutch assembly to be readily disengaged to allow smooth release and retraction of the brake shoes of a vehicle brake without damage to the one-way teeth of the clutch assembly. When the external feature is operated in a brake release direction, the motion of the feature is translated into a motion which axially displaces an output part of the one-way clutch away from an input part of the clutch a distance sufficient to disengage the parts' one-way teeth, thereby disengaging the one-way clutch to permit brake shoe retraction without resistance from the one-way clutch.
