    Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for an air filter configured to be mounted onto air inlets of turbochargers and superchargers. The air filter a proximal base including an inlet receiver configured to receive an air inlet, a clamp to secure the air inlet within the inlet receiver, and a first opening aligned with a screw mechanism of the clamp. A filter medium fastened to the proximal base is configured to remove particulate matter and other contaminates from an incoming air stream. A distal end cap fastened to the filter medium comprises a second opening aligned with the first opening. A conduit within an interior cavity of the air filter is disposed between the first opening and the second opening, facilitating tightening and loosening the clamp by extending an appropriate tool through the interior cavity so as to engage the screw mechanism of the clamp.

    Abstract: An air filtration apparatus includes an airflow powerhead assembly including a fan assembly and a vane assembly, a filter assembly, and a separator chamber housing inside of which the filter assembly is disposed. The separator chamber housing has a chamber inlet at a first axial side and a clean air outlet at a second axial side of the separator chamber housing opposite the first axial side. The filter assembly has a first axial end adjacent the chamber inlet and a second axial end adjacent the clean air outlet. The separator chamber housing includes at least one debris ejection slot extension configured to eject debris from an inner space of the separator chamber housing. The filter assembly includes a debris catch tray disposed at the second axial end, the debris catch tray having a debris ejection slot aligned with the at least one debris ejection slot extension.

    Abstract: An air cleaner is adapted to be mounted inside of a cabin of a mass transit vehicle to remove or disinfect pathogens in the air. The air cleaner includes a housing, an air filter, a grill, and optionally a disinfector. The housing is formed to define an air chamber, an inlet into the air chamber, and an outlet out of the air chamber. A fan draws air through the air chamber during use of the air cleaner. The air filter is received in the air chamber and the grill covers the air filter to secure the air filter between the grill and the housing and allow air to flow through the grill and filter into the air chamber.

    Abstract: A filtration system includes an air cleaner housing and a filter element. The air cleaner housing includes a base and a removable cover. At least one of the base or the cover defines a cavity and a protrusion extending into the cavity. The filter element is disposed within the cavity. The filter element includes a plurality of media blocks each including a pleated filter media. The plurality of media blocks are arranged in arch shapes of approximately equal inner radii. The plurality of media blocks are coupled to each other along opposing edges that extend along a pleat direction of the pleated filter media. The media blocks together define at least one void that extends along the protrusion. The protrusion occupies a portion of the void.
