Abstract: A clamp band assembly. The assembly includes a semi-circular band with a concave inner surface shaped to mate with the pump and a convex outer surface. Each semicircular band has a coupling mechanism and a fastener for tightening the assembly. The coupling mechanism is attached at each end of the semi-circular band. The coupling mechanism has a saddle shape to mate with a curved surface of half-barrel nuts. The opposing ends are attached to the convex outer surface and have a curved profile that matches a curvature of the convex outer surface of the semi-circular band. A void is formed between the coupling mechanism and the convex outer surface. The fastener passes through the void of opposing coupling mechanisms and couples with the half-barrel nuts, applying a coupling force to each of the opposing coupling mechanisms and tightening the assembly.

Abstract: An improved dryer exhaust vent assembly for a clothes dryer is disclosed. The assembly includes an exhaust pipe having a variety of features on its external surface that are constructed and arranged to provide a more secured and easier to obtain engagement with commercially available or customized vent tubing. The assembly may also utilize adjustable band clamps or lever actuated collar clamps to further secure engagement of the vent tubing to the exhaust pipe.

Abstract: A coupling has first and second segments attached to one another end to end surrounding a central space for receiving pipe elements. A spring assembly attaches the segments at one end and an adjustable attachment assembly attaches the segments at the opposite end. The spring assembly biases the segments away from one another sufficient to permit insertion of the pipe elements into the central space while the segments are attached to one another. The coupling may include a split ring toothed retainer for coupling plain end pipe elements, or it may have arcuate keys which engage grooved or shouldered pipe elements.

Abstract: A pipe restraining system has first and second pipes. Each pipe has an axis and a groove adjacent an axial end thereof. A bushing bridges and hydraulically seals with the first and second pipes. First and second clamp rings removably attach the bushing to a respective one of the first and second pipes. When the pipe restraining system is assembled, axial tensile loads passing through the first pipe are transmitted through the first clamp ring, the bushing, and the second clamp ring to the second pipe. An axial distance between the first and second pipes remains substantially constant.

Abstract: A T-bolt clamp includes a circumferentially extending band and a fastening assembly that employs a T-bolt to tighten the clamp by turning a nut to draw loop ends of the band toward each other. One of the loop ends includes a slotted opening that permits a head of the T-bolt to be inserted and removed without removing the nut from the T-bolt. The fastening assembly is configured to constrain first and second bearing loops of the slotted loop end against movement away from each other during tightening of the clamp. Protrusions on the head of the T-bolt can be used to perform the constraining function by engaging slots in the bearing loops.
