摘要: A method and system for in situ cross-linking of polymers, Bitumen, and other materials to produce arbitrary functional or ornamental three-dimensional features using electron beams provided by mobile accelerators comprises defining a desired pattern for imparting on a target area, mapping the target area, defining at least one discrete voxel in the target area according to the desired pattern to be imparted on the target area, assigning an irradiation value to each of the at least one discrete voxels, and delivering a dose of irradiation to each of the at least one discrete voxels according to the assigned irradiation value.

摘要: An autonomous earth moving system can determine a desired state for a portion of the EMV including at least one control surface. Then the EMV selects a set of control signals for moving the portion of the EMV from the current state to the desired state using a machine learning model trained to generate control signals for moving the portion of the EMV to the desired state based on the current state. After the EMV executes the selected set of control signals, the system measures an updated state of the portion of the EMV. In some cases, this updated state of the EMV is used to iteratively update the machine learning model using an online learning process.

摘要: An apparatus for cutting grooves in a ground surface includes a wheeled vehicle with a tool carrier connected to the wheeled vehicle. The tool carrier is rotatable about an axis parallel to the direction of travel of the vehicle and perpendicular to the direction of travel of the vehicle. A grinding tool for cutting grooves in a ground surface is rotatably mounted to the tool carrier. The grinding tool may be movable laterally relative to the vehicle. A rotatable cam is configured so that rotation of the cam causes pivotal movement of the tool carrier relative to the forward frame. Rotation of the cam moves the grinding tool into and out of engagement with the ground surface.

摘要: A milling machine has a frame, a rotor, a mixing chamber with a front door and a rear door, and a controller. The controller is in communication with the frame, the rotor, the front door, and the rear door, and configured to operate the milling machine in a travel mode and a work mode. When the travel mode is actuated, the controller raises the rotor to a predetermined position, closes the front door and the rear door, and raises the frame to a predetermined height. When the work mode is actuated, the controller lowers the frame to a predetermined height, lowers the rotor to a predetermined position, and opens the front door and the rear door to predetermined positions.

摘要: Operational data from vehicles operating over a haul road at a work site may be used to determine when road conditions exist that require maintenance to be performed on the haul road. As the vehicles travel over the haul road, sensors transmit sensor signals with the operational data for locations along the road. An electronic control module (ECM) of each vehicle determines road quality indicators for the locations and compares the road quality indicators to predetermined road quality indicator limits. When two or more vehicles determine that a road quality indicator at a location is outside the predetermined road quality indicator limits, or if the same vehicle determines that a road quality indicator at the location is outside the predetermined road quality indicator limits, a road maintenance request message may be generated that will result in the necessary maintenance to be performed at the location.
