Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods, systems, devices, and kits for creating composite materials from a single resin, the composite materials having multiple continuous phases. The disclosure includes a process to three-dimensionally print objects (e.g., orthodontic appliances) with composite properties. In some aspects, the composite properties are formed from a single formulation with components that, when processed, have hard and soft continuous phases. In some aspects, the composite properties are formed by separately processing the hard phase components and the soft phase components. In some aspects, the composite materials and devices are three-dimensionally printed using the processed material.

Abstract: A 3D printed physical information storage unit includes a grayscale digital light processing (g-DLP) 3D printed monolithic component formed from a resin containing a donor moiety, an acceptor moiety, a rigid moiety, a photoinitiator, and a photoabsorber. The g-DLP 3D printed monolithic component has a first portion with a first Young's modulus and a second portion with a second Young's modulus that is different than the first Young's modulus such that the g-DLP 3D printed monolithic component subjected to a predefined strain exhibits a strain field that provides a machine readable optical image.

Abstract: Formulations and coatings that seal and protect sensitive natural porous stone, such as, calcareous stone from acid etching. The formulations include one-part and two-part formulations for coating calcareous stones in interior and exterior environments. Various formulations of the invention may include an acrylic hybrid polymer dispersion, a polyurethane dispersion binder, and water. The polyurethane dispersion binder may include one or more acrylic urethane hybrid polymer dispersions or acrylic dispersions or acrylic hybrid polymer dispersions. The acrylic hybrid polymer dispersion may be an epoxy-acrylic hybrid polymer dispersion. The two-part formulations may further include a first hydroxyl function acrylic binder dispersion and a second epoxy functional silane hardener that are mixed together to form the coatings of the invention.

Abstract: A binder composition includes an epoxidized vegetable oil or a derivative thereof having an epoxy group content of 1 to 12 weight percent, based on the total weight of the epoxidized vegetable oil; a carboxyl-functionalized resin; and a liquid reactive diluent. A combined acid value of the carboxyl-functionalized resin and the liquid reactive diluent is 50 to 500. Uses of the binder composition, for example in composites, coatings, elastomer formulations, and adhesives are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bio-electrode composition comprising a polymer compound having a repeating unit A that contains silver salt of fluorosulfonic acid, silver salt of fluorosulfonimide, or silver salt of fluorosulfonamide. This can form a living body contact layer for a bio-electrode with excellent electric conductivity, biocompatibility and light weight, which can be manufactured at low cost and does not cause large lowering of the electric conductivity even when it is wetted with water or dried. The present invention also provides a bio-electrode in which the living body contact layer is formed from the bio-electrode composition and a method for manufacturing the bio-electrode.
