摘要: The present invention is directed to a gypsum board and a method of making such gypsum board. For instance, the gypsum board comprises a gypsum core, a first facing material, and a second facing material wherein the first facing material and the second facing material sandwich the gypsum core. The gypsum core comprises a first gypsum core section and a second gypsum core section each comprising gypsum, wherein the first gypsum core section comprises a polyol compound and has a density higher than a density of the second gypsum core section.

摘要: A plurality of set stabilizer particles including: a particle core including 50 to 98 wt. %, preferably 70 to 98 wt. % or 70 to 95 wt. %, calcium sulfate dihydrate and 0.05 to 10 wt. %, preferably 0.5 to 5 wt. %, hydrophobic material selected from wax and/or siloxane, and a coating on the particle core, the coating including a dehydration-preventing substance selected from sugars, dextrins, and polyhydroxy alcohols, such as glycerol or polyglycols, at a ratio of about 5 to 25 parts by weight of dehydration-preventing substance per 100 parts by weight of calcium sulfate dihydrate. Methods of making and using the set stabilizer particles are also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method of servicing a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation with a thixotropic cement composition. The thixotropic cement composition comprises a cementitious material, maltodextrin, and an aqueous fluid, has a 10-minute gel strength of from about 30 lbf/100 ft2 to about 300 lbf/100 ft2, and can be used to reduce lost circulation in the wellbore. By incorporating maltodextrin into the thixotropic cement composition as disclosed herein, the thixotropic cement composition can have a similar 10-minute gel strength and an increased thickening time when compared to a reference composition.
