摘要: The reinforcing structure for a tire is in the form of a stratified assembly formed of two layers of reinforcing strips of completely connected cross section, and flattened in shape. According to the method, the strips of each layer are laid side by side in a main direction of laying. The strips of the first layer are spaced apart by a distance that is less than the width of the strips of the second layer and in such a way that the edges of the strips of the first layer overlap the edges of the strips of the second layer. The two layers of strips are separated by a layer of uncoupling rubber.

摘要: The present invention relates to a textile cord comprising at least two yarns, each yarn comprising multiple filaments, wherein each filament comprises polyethylene furanoate reinforced by carbon nano material and/or boron nitride nano material. These textile cords are particularly useful as tire reinforcements. Moreover, the present invention is directed to a polymeric composition comprising (1) polyethylene-2,5-furan dicarboxylate and (2) a carbon nano material or a boron nitride nano material. This polymeric composition can optionally be further comprised of one or more additional polyesters, such as polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene naphthalate. This invention is further directed to a rubber component comprising said cords coated with rubber and to tires and other rubber products comprising such cords.

摘要: A tire includes a body ply sheet having a rubber core defined by a top surface having a length and a width, a bottom surface having substantially the same length and width, and side surfaces having a common height. The body ply sheet includes reinforcement cords spaced 0.1-4.0 mm apart from each other and spanning the width of the body ply sheet. Bleeder cords are disposed on the body ply sheet and spaced are 8-12 cm apart from each other. Conductive cords are also disposed on the body ply and are spaced 20-80 cm apart from each other. At least one of the conductive cords has a first end and a second end, the first end being located in a region within a middle 80% of a width of the circumferential tread.

Provided is a tire including a carcass ply (1) as a skeleton, the carcass ply is reinforced by a steel cord including no wrapping filament. The steel cord is composed of a plurality of steel filaments having 3 or more core filaments, at least a part of the surface of each of the plurality of steel filaments is coated with a resin material containing at least an ionomer, and when a resin component contained in the resin material is composed of a single resin, the melting point of the resin material is 150° C. or less, and when the resin component is composed of a composition containing two or more resins, the softening point of the resin material is 150° C. or less.

摘要: A pneumatic tire includes a tire case, a tread and a single-layer belt. The tire case includes a carcass that extends from one bead portion to another bead portion. An outer side portion of the carcass is covered with a side rubber layer formed of a first rubber material. The tread is disposed at the tire radial direction outer side of the tire case and is formed of a second rubber material. The belt is disposed between the tire case and the tread. The belt includes a resin-covered cord that is wound in a spiral shape. The resin-covered includes a cord covered with a resin with a greater tensile modulus of elasticity than the first rubber material and the second rubber material. The resin at one winding and another winding of the resin-covered cord, which are adjacent in the tire width direction, are welded together.

A profile of the tread surface 16 is formed by: an arc C1 that is disposed at a center, and that projects outward in a radial direction; and a pair of arcs C2 each of which is disposed outward of the arc C1 in an axial direction and each of which projects outward in the radial direction. The arc C1 contacts with the arcs C2. A radius R1 of curvature of the arc C1 is less than a radius R2 of curvature of each arc C2. Outer ends 40 of the rubber reinforcing layers 14 are disposed outward of ends TE of the tread surface 16 in the radial direction. Inner ends 42 of the rubber reinforcing layers 14 are disposed inward of the ends TE of the tread surface 16 in the radial direction. The rubber reinforcing layers 14 are not disposed on an equator plane.

A first strip of ply is provided having a plurality of evenly spaced reinforcement cords, having a spacing S, and having a lateral end, wherein the last cord is spaced apart from strip end a distance X, wherein X is not equal to S. A second strip of ply is provided having a plurality of evenly spaced reinforcement cords, having a spacing S, and having a lateral end, wherein the last cord is spaced apart from strip end a distance Y, wherein Y is not equal to S. The lateral ends of the first and second strip are joined together in a lap joint. The first and second lateral ends are overlapped so that the spacing X preferrably does not overlap, but may partially overlap with the spacing Y.
