    摘要: A pneumatic tire includes a tread, two circumferentially extending annular bead regions, a carcass structure, and an overlay ply. The tread is rotatable about an axis and contacts a road surface. The tread further has an equatorial plane intersecting the axis at 90°. The carcass structure extends between the tread and the bead regions. The carcass structure supports the tread about the axis. The carcass structure includes two or more carcass plies having reinforcing cords oriented to cross at opposite angles of 20° to 65° with respect to the equatorial plane. The overlay ply extends circumferentially and extends radially between the carcass structure and the tread. The overlay ply includes cords oriented between −5° and +5° relative to the equatorial plane.

A pneumatic tire has a carcass 6 and a tread-reinforcing cord layer 7 disposed radially outward of the carcass, the carcass 6 comprising a carcass ply 6A in which carcass cords 20 of aramid fiber are arranged at an angle of 45 to 90° with respect to the tire circumferential direction and are covered with a topping rubber, preferable carcass cords 20 have a two-bundle twisted structure that two bundles of first-twisted filaments are subjected to final twist, and preferable carcass cords 20 have a twist factor T of 0.5 to 0.7 represented by the equation (1): T=N×√{square root over ({(0.125×D/2)/ρ})}×10−3  (1) in which N is the number of final twists per 10 cm, D is a total nominal dtex (fineness) of a cord, and ρ is a specific gravity of a cord material.
