    摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus of manufacturing an aerogel sheet. The apparatus of manufacturing the aerogel sheet includes: a tray device in which a fiber sheet is accommodated; a rotation device including a rotation rod to which the tray device is fixed and a driving member rotating the rotation rod so that the tray device is disposed on an upper and lower portion of the rotation rod; an injection device injecting a silica precursor into the tray device disposed on the upper portion of the rotation rod to impregnate the silica precursor into the fiber sheet; and a surface modification device injecting a coating solution into the tray device disposed on the lower portion of the rotation rod to modify a surface of the fiber sheet in which the silica precursor is impregnated.

    摘要: A dispensing container apparatus having a tubular container with a bottom end and a rotatable annular upper end connected to a tubular shaft, and a compression member associated with the tubular shaft which causes a material disposed within the containment region to communicate into the tubular shaft or into a containing area upon rotation of the rotatable annular upper end. A brush applicator removably fits into an open end of the tubular shaft for receiving paste to be dispensed via brush application. Also, the container apparatus includes a top member having paste-access holes sized and adapted to closely receive different threaded shaft sizes of fasteners. In one form, the top member is partially rotatable for closing the holes, and then further rotatable for moving the piston (and hence paste) within the container.

    摘要: A dip coating apparatus and method of dip coating. The apparatus includes a guide surface, a bendable tube, a carriage, and a support assembly. The bendable tube redirectionally engages the guide surface intermediate the first and second longitudinal ends of the tube. The carriage is vertically repositionable and cooperatively engages the tube proximate the first longitudinal end of the tube, whereby vertical repositioning of the carriage effects a change in the vertical distance between the first and second longitudinal ends of the tube. The support assembly releasably suspends an elongate workpiece for introduction of at least a portion of the workpiece into the tube through the first longitudinal end of the coating tube as the carriage is vertically repositioned upwards towards the support assembly.

    摘要: Certain example embodiments relate to a draw-off coating apparatus and/or system for depositing a coating on a substrate (e.g., a glass substrate), and/or a method of making coating articles using the same. At least one substrate to be coated is inserted into a tank. A liquid or sol-gel like mixture (either or both of which may have a low viscosity) is pumped into the tank in a controlled manner. The at least one substrate is allowed to dwell in the mixture. The liquid or sol-gel like mixture is drawn-off of the tank in another controlled manner. The drawn-off liquid or sol-gel like mixture may be provided to another tank having at least one substrate to be coated. Thus, it is possible in certain example embodiments to form coatings on large-dimension glass substrates, while enabling desired coating performance on one or both surfaces of the glass substrates to be achieved.

    摘要: A method of forming a fluid treatment apparatus including providing a first and second sheets each having upper, lower, and side surfaces. A plurality of drive rod passages is formed through the first sheet between the side surfaces and through the upper surface. An inside surface of each drive rod passage is continuous with the upper surface and provides a bearing surface for a drive rod. At least one fluid injection passage and at least one fluid drain passage are formed through the first sheet between the upper and lower surfaces between the drive rod passages. A drive rod is inserted into each drive rod passage. The drive rods are rotatably supported by the bearing surfaces and extend above the upper surface. A plurality of drive rod passages is formed through the second sheet between the side surfaces and through the lower surface. An inside surface of each drive rod passage is continuous with the lower surface of the second sheet and provides a bearing surface for a drive rod. At least one fluid injection passage and at least one fluid drain passage are formed through the second sheet between the upper and lower surfaces between the drive rod passages. A drive rod is inserted in each drive rod passage. The drive rods are rotatably supported by the bearing surfaces and extend below the lower surface. The second sheet is arranged over the first sheet, such that the drive rods of the first and second sheets face each other.

    摘要: A reservoir for dipping a non-cylindrical flexible belt into a coating fluid so that an electrophotographic layer can be deposited onto its outer surface during a manufacturing process includes a non-cylindrical tank with an inlet located at one end. A coating fluid enters the bottom of the tank and moves past a flow divider located inside or just above the inlet. This divides the entering fluid into two substantially equal portions, so that the level of coating fluid inside of the tank rises uniformly. The coating fluid passes first through a porous membrane, and then through a perforated plate, both of which will reduce the velocity of the coating fluid, to ensure that the fluid has laminar flow characteristics once it reaches the top of the reservoir. Finally, the coating fluid passes through an annular shaped flow director which ensures that the layer which is deposited onto the outer surface of the flexible belt has a uniform thickness. This enables the finished belt to be used as an organic photoreceptor in an xerographic imaging machine.
