摘要: The present invention refers to a process for reducing the amount of undesired components in an oil composition, particularly in an oil composition comprising omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. The process of the present invention provides efficient removal of undesired water-soluble (hydrophilic) components and undesired fat-soluble (lipophilic) components from an oil composition in order to obtain a purified concentrate, e.g. a highly purified concentrate enriched in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.

摘要: A fat-containing composition obtained by converting insects or worms into nutrient streams, such as a fat-containing, an aqueous protein-containing and a solid-containing fraction, including (a) squashing insects or worms thereby obtaining a pulp, the insects or worms reduced in size, (b) heating the pulp to 70-100° C., and (c) subjecting the heated pulp to a physical separation step with the proviso that the method does not contain enzymatic treatment of the pulp. The fat-containing fraction contains at least 80 wt. % insect or worm fat with at least 40 wt. % saturated fats. The aqueous protein fraction can be dried to obtain dried protein material, which contains at least 50 wt. % insect or worm protein-derived matter and at most 25 wt. % insect or worm fat based on dry weight. The protein has a pepsin digestibility of at least 50%. The resulting nutrient streams can be used in food, petfood, feed and pharmaceutical industry.

摘要: A solid product composition includes at least one salt of a cation derived from lysine with an anion derived from a polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid. The solid product composition is formed by (i) providing a starting composition containing at least one polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid component; (ii) providing a lysine composition; and (iii) admixing an aqueous, an aqueous-alcoholic or an alcoholic solution of starting composition and lysine composition, and subjecting resulting admixture to spray drying conditions subsequently, thus forming the solid product composition containing at least one salt of a cation derived from lysine with an anion derived from a polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid.

摘要: A method for producing powderized cannabis oil, powderized cannabis oil, and edible products and beverages comprising the powderized cannabis oil. Powderized cannabis oil contains cannabis oil and maltodextrin in a ratio of at least three grams of maltodextrin for every one-eighth of a gram of cannabis oil. Edible products and beverages incorporating the powderized cannabis oil are human-consumable products that contain an emulsified, tasteless, and odorless dose of cannabis oil providing CBD, THC and/or THCA.

摘要: Specialty canola oil is provided with preferred stability, flavor, and low levels of saturates. Plants, seeds, and oil contain 3.5% to 5% total saturates, greater than 18% linoleic acid, and less than 3% linolenic acid. The oil of the invention provides not only lower saturates levels but also acceptable frying stability and improved flavor.

摘要: A process for infusing a consumable substance is described. The process includes the steps of placing a desired amount of an infusion material into a chamber at atmospheric pressure, placing a desired amount of consumable substance into said chamber, sealing said chamber from the surrounding atmosphere, and applying at least one reduced pressure cycle within said chamber. Methods for separating the infusion material from the consumable substance after completion of the infusion process are also described. In addition, devices for infusing liquids or consumable substances, and/or brewing beverages are described. The present nvention relates to an apparatus for brewing beverages or infusing a consumable substance comprising a vessel, said vessel comprising a sealable chamber for holding a brewing or infusion material and a liquid or consumable substance, and a filter assembly connected to the sealable chamber; a liquid supply and conduit for introducing at least a portion of said liquid supply into said sealable chamber; and a vacuum source and conduit for reducing pressure in said sealable chamber.
