    摘要: The invention includes a method and apparatus for adjusting the transmit power of a base station. In one embodiment, the transmit power of a base station is adjusted using rate metrics. A method according to one embodiment includes adjusting a transmit power of a target base station based on a per-user rate metric associated with the target base station and at least one per-user rate metric associated with at least one other base station. The per-user rate metrics may be based on any base station metrics, such as average system throughput of the base station, aggregate cell capacity of the base station, and the like. The per-user rate metrics may be computed or estimated using feedback information from wireless user devices. In one embodiment, the transmit power of a base station is adjusted using other information, such as geographic distances between base station, signal strength measurements received at base stations from other base stations, and the like, as well as various combinations thereof. A method according to one embodiment includes obtaining non-feedback information and adjusting the transmit power of the base station using the non-feedback information.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for sectorizing coverage of a cellular communications area includes providing a remote unit having microcell antenna units. Each microcell antenna unit is configured to cover a particular sector. The remote unit is connected to a sectorized base station unit which is connected to a mobile telecommunications switching office. Separate digitized streams representative of telephone signals received from the mobile telecommunications switching office are generated corresponding to the microcell antenna units and the separate digitized streams are multiplexed and transmitted to the remote unit. The remote unit demultiplexes the multiplexed digitized streams into the separate digitized streams corresponding to the microcell antenna units and the separate digitized streams are converted to RF signals for coverage of a particular sector by the corresponding microcell antenna unit. Separate digitized streams are separately generated for each microcell antenna unit representative of RF signals received at the microcell antenna unit for a particular sector. The separately generated digitized streams are multiplexed at the remote unit and transmitted to the sectorized base station unit. At the sectorized base station unit, the multiplexed digitized streams are demultiplexed into the separate digitized streams corresponding to microcell antenna units and the separate digitized streams are converted to RF signals for provision to the mobile telecommunications switching office. Diversity at the remote units is also provided.

    摘要: In a radio communication system that performs HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat request), a mobile station returns the HARQ process state of the mobile station to the free state by the reception of ACK. In this state, the mobile station, upon receiving from the scheduling base station an SA (scheduling assignment) for assigning resources for retransmission, transmits a transmission process state notification reporting that the mobile station is in the free state when the mobile station does not have new data to be transmitted. The base station therefore recognizes that the mobile station is in the free state and returns the HARQ process state of the base station to the free state and halts the assignment of resources to the mobile station.

    摘要: A transceiver duplex filter has a transmit filter that supplies a transmission signal from at least one transmitter unit to a transceiver antenna. When connected to two transmitter units, two one-way attenuators, each of which is provided with an input and an output, are allocated to respective transmitter units. The input of each one-way attenuator can be connected in a fixed but removable manner to the respective transmitter unit.
