A second code string analyzer acquires each of the sequence unit display control information and the picture unit display control information from an extended information area in units of pictures.

摘要: A method of compressing a frame in an image compression and storage system includes mapping an original sample to a mapped sample based on a bit depth of the original sample and a maximum allowed error, determining a residue of the mapped sample based on a mapped previous reconstructed sample, applying a modulo addition to the residue to generate a biased residue, quantizing the biased residue based on the maximum allowed error to generate a quantized biased residue, and encoding a value corresponding to the quantized biased residue to generate an encoded value.

In operation, the circuitry: performs a mapping process of Luma Mapping with Chroma Scaling (LMCS) for transforming a first pixel value space applied to a luma display image signal into a second pixel value space applied to a luma encoding process signal, using line segments forming a transform curve, each of which corresponds to a different one of sections obtained by partitioning the first pixel value space; and encodes an image, and in the performing of the LMCS, the circuitry determines the transform curve so that among boundary values in the second pixel value space, a first value obtained by dividing a boundary value by a base width defined according to a bit depth of the image is not equal to a second value obtained by dividing another boundary value by the base width.

摘要: A picture coding and decoding method includes a picture coding method for coding an input picture and a picture decoding method for decoding coded picture data. The picture coding method includes dividing the input picture into blocks, coding the input picture on a block basis, decoding the coded data of each block on a block basis, removing coding distortion in an area disposed on both sides of a block boundary, each block being adaptively decoded either as a field structure block or a frame structure block, and storing the reconstructed picture as a reference picture. 摘要: Sampled data is packaged in checkerboard format for encoding and decoding. The sampled data may be quincunx sampled multi-image video data (e.g., 3D video or a multi-program stream), and the data may also be divided into sub-images of each image which are then multiplexed, or interleaved, in frames of a video stream to be encoded and then decoded using a standardized video encoder. A system for viewing may utilize a standard video decoder and a formatting device that de-interleaves the decoded sub-images of each frame reformats the images for a display device. A 3D video may be encoded using a most advantageous interleaving format such that a preferred quality and compression ratio is reached. In one embodiment, the invention includes a display device that accepts data in multiple formats.
