The metal-containing transaction cards may be standard-sized (i.e., about 3null inches by about 2null inches) or any other size yet still usable as a transaction card. Moreover, the metal-containing transaction card may have a magnetic stripe, an embedded microchip, a signature panel, a holographic image, or any other feature typically contained on or within a transaction card. The transaction cards have at least one layer of metal with, optionally, other layers of substrates, such as thermoplastic polymers, other metals or adhesives. In addition, the metal-containing transaction card may be anodized, coated, or laser-engraved. Preferably, the metal is titanium or stainless steel.

    摘要: The invention constitutes an improvement of access control security to data processing means, such as a smart card (MNV, MA), by simulating a comparison (E7) block by block (Si, Pi) of part of a secret code (S) with part of the presented code (P) through a block-by-block comparison (Pi, Aj) of part of the presented code and part of a number (A) when the presented code is found to be erroneous. Each time the card is used, a constant number of operations are applied to the presented code (P) and at least for part of the secret code (S) and at most for a complementary part relative to the number of operations, to the number (A), thus avoiding different signatures of power consumption for different presented codes.

    摘要: A baggage tag in which a recording layer is formed on one side of a laminate, a circuit element is placed on the side opposite to the recording layer of the laminate, the laminate is a laminate of a paper sheet and a plastic film. Therefore, the baggage tag is substantially free from problems due to defective printing and is free from the danger that the circuit element will come off and the baggage tag will be pulled off during the transport of the baggage.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to an improved card structure, which employs at least two polyester layers and is useful as, e.g., a credit card, shopping card, pre-paid card, identification card, or the like. An additional feature is a card which has a metal foil appearance. The card is formed by a lamination process using at least two polyester layers which are joined with a white PVC core layer and are covered with a clear cover layer. The card can be made from laminate substructures and which are subsequently joined by an adhesive layer to form the laminate structure. The cards can be overprinted, embossed, or provided with further components such as holograms, signature pads, magnetic strips, photographic identification strips, or card company identifiers.
