摘要: A security element with increased protection against forgery includes at least one first region with structures that reflect an image motif in different spatial regions, such that a moving image is produced for an observer when a light source is moved correspondingly and/or when the viewing angle is changed. When the light source is moved and/or the viewing angle is changed, a movement of the image motif occurs at the same time. Furthermore, an optical effect layer is provided which defines a second region. The structures are covered by the optical effect layer over their entire surface or partially.

摘要: A method of designing at least an area of a printed image in a security feature is provided. The security feature comprises an array of optical elements overlaying the printed image. The method comprises designing an icon matrix comprising rows and columns of pixels having pixel values representing an icon to be viewed by a user of the security feature; determining a desired gap size to provide a desired magnification of the icon; generating an array of two dimensional matrices of pixels, wherein the array comprises a sequence of repeated sets of matrices, wherein each set comprises a first number of matrices of a first type having a first size and a second number of matrices of a second type having a second size, wherein the matrix of the first type and the matrix of the second type are based on the icon matrix, and wherein the first number, second number, first size, and second size are selected such that, the mean size of each matrix within the set deviates from the modal matrix size by the desired gap size. A printed image for a security feature is also provided.

摘要: A blister pack includes a housing having a plurality of cavities and a multi-layer film sealed to the housing and enclosing the cavities, the multi-layer film including a base layer, at least one security element, and a heat protective layer. The heat protective layer is comprised of one of an amorphous polymer material or a semi-crystalline polymer material and is positioned to insulate the at least one security element from heat applied to the heat protective layer during heat sealing of the multi-layer film to the housing, the heat protective layer functioning as a heat sink for protection of the at least one security element during heat sealing of the multi-layer film to the housing.

At a first viewing angle, the array of lenses presents a first image for viewing without presenting the second image for viewing, and at a second viewing angle different from the first viewing angle, the array of lenses presents for viewing the second image without presenting the first image for viewing. In some examples, individual ones of the first and second segments can comprise specular reflecting, transparent, diffusely reflecting, and/or diffusely transmissive features. In some examples, individual ones of the first and second segments can comprise transparent and non-transparent regions. Some examples can incorporate more than one region producing an optical effect.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for forming a surface relief microstructure, including the steps of A) applying a curable composition to at least a portion of the frontside of the paper substrate, B) contacting at least a portion of the curable composition with surface relief microstructure, C) curing the composition by using at least one UV lamp which is arranged on the backside of the paper substrate, and D) depositing a metallic layer, and optionally a layer of a transparent high refractive index material, on at least a portion of the cured composition, wherein the UV lamp has an emission peak in a UV-A range of 320 nm to 400 nm and additionally in a near VIS range of 400 nm to 450 nm, the curable composition comprises a photoinitiator which absorbs in the UV-A range and also in the near VIS range.

Furthermore, the multilayer body includes a second layer, which is arranged below the first layer and in a fixed position with respect to the first layer and has a multiplicity of microimages arranged in accordance with a microimage grid and in each case in an at least regional overlap with one of the microlenses of the microlens grid for the purpose of generating a first optically variable information item. The grid pitches of the microimage grid and of the microlens grid in each case in at least one spatial direction are less than 300 μm.
