    摘要: The present invention provides an improved device for transporting photographic negatives mounted on carrying cards to the optical stage of a photographic printer. A storage bin houses a plurality of the carrying cards prior to being transported to the optical stage of the printer. A first vacuum member releasably engages one of the carrying cards and transports that carrying card to a predetermined intermediate location. A second vacuum member operates to transport the carrying card between the intermediate position and the optical stage of the photographic printer. A third vacuum member operates to transport the carrying card from the predetermined intermediate position to a discharge bin. A secondary carrying card transport assembly is adapted to transport at least one carrying card having a secondary photographic negative mounted thereon to the same predetermined location to simultaneously transport multiple negatives to the optical stage of the printer.

    摘要: The invention concerns a process for the chaotic filming of documents in which the latter are equipped with a first code, and then in unordered sequence are filmed with the application of a pulse code, wherein of the first code applied respectively on the documents fed for filming at least the address is detected and intermediately stored, the pulse code on the exposed film is detected and continuously added up, and the number corresponding to the image of the relevant document in the pulse code and the address of the first code are jointly stored as the image address.According to a first embodiment the documents are paged in unordered sequence and then filmed with the allocation of a blip pulse code. According to a second embodiment, documents are provided with the code allocated respectively by a computer, whereby the computer contains the code and optionally further information in store. The documents are then filmed in unordered sequence with the simultaneous application of a pulse code, using a camera. In addition a device is proposed for the completion of this process.

A slit light from a light source is projected on the microfilm while the microfilm is being transported. The length of the information for retrieval to be additionally photographed on the microfilm can be freely set by controlling the period of the projection of the light on the microfilm. One displaying device is adapted to project light in the pattern of one numeral on the microfilm while the microfilm is at rest.

The size of the additional information on the microfilm is made selectable between discrete values in accordance with the magnification of the manuscript.     摘要: A computer controlled microfilm camera system and method for microfilming data onto pre-cut individual microfiche film sheets in one of a plurality of formats selected by a system user. The camera system includes a reusable cartridge which permits the single microfiche film sheet to be substantially withdrawn and exposed, and then reinserted into the cartridge for processing in a daylight loading processor. The cartridge is supported on a movable carriage assembly which is connected to a first drive system and stepping motor so as to provide for translation of the film sheet in a column direction. The carriage assembly supports a second drive system and stepping motor which is connected so as to provide for translation of the film sheet in a row direction. A pre-programmed microprocessor controls the incremental stepping of the film sheet in directions determined in response to format selection data input to the microprocessor by a system user, identifying one of a plurality of format tables stored in the microprocessor. The microprocessor additionally controls the order of movement of the film sheet in order to expose the film in either a row mode or a column mode as specified by the user.
