摘要: In some respects, concepts disclosed herein generally concern systems, methods and components to detect a presence of a liquid externally of a desired primary flow path through a segment of a fluid circuit, e.g., throughout a cooling loop. Some disclosed concepts pertain to systems, methods, and components to direct seepage or leakage of a liquid coolant toward a lead-detection sensor. As but one example, some disclosed liquid-cooled heat exchangers incorporate a leak-detection sensor, which, in turn, can couple with a computing environment that monitors for detected leaks, and, responsive to an indication of a detected leak, invokes a task to control or to mitigate the detected leak.

摘要: A data collection device and method for determining an alternative event condition is presented. The method includes receiving a first data communication including a first data value from a first sensor and determining a first event condition based on the first data value being beyond a predetermined threshold. The method further includes receiving additional data communications including additional data values from one or more second sensors, aggregating the first data value and the additional data values, and determining that the determination of the first event condition is incorrect based on the aggregated data values and a known relationship between the first sensor and the one or more second sensors. The method additionally includes determining a second event condition based on the first data value and the additional data values being beyond the predetermined threshold. An action may then be performed in response to the determination of the second event condition.

摘要: A building monitoring computer system for monitoring building integrity may be provided. Various types of sensors may be embedded throughout or within certain portions of different types of building or construction material making up the building, such as within roofing, foundation, or structural materials. The sensors may be in wireless communication with a home controller. The sensors may be water, moisture, temperature, vibration, or other types of sensors, and may detect unexpected or abnormal conditions within the home. The sensors and/or home controller may transmit alerts to a mobile device of the home owner associated with the unexpected condition, and/or that remedial actions may be required to repair the home or mitigate further damage to the home. The sensor data may also be communicated to an insurance provider remote server to facilitate the insurance provider communicating insurance-related recommendations, updating insurance policies, or preparing insurance claims for review for home owners.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure are drawn to apparatus and methods for determining gas flux measurements. A gas plume may be emitted from a source and may be blown by wind in an environment. A measurement system, such as a light detection and ranging (lidar) system may collect a plurality of gas concentration measurements associated with the gas plume at a plurality of locations in the environment. A gas flux may be determined based on one or more of the gas concentration measurements along with a wind speed at a location associated with the gas plume. In some embodiments, a height of the gas plume may be determined, and the wind speed at the height of the gas plume may be determined and used to determine the gas flux.

摘要: A water-impermeable membrane assembly for sealing a surface of a substrate comprises a waterproofing sheet and a plurality of conduits having openings in at least a first major surface, and a leak-alarm circuit disposed at least partly within said equipment space, the leak alarm circuit having a leak-alarm target operative to trigger activation of the leak-alarm circuit when in contact with a water-containing liquid. The leak-alarm circuit comprises an electronic circuit comprising a transmitter and a battery for transmission of a signal. The assembly also includes a capillary pathway disposed within at least a portion of the conduits, including at least one conduit in fluid communication with the equipment space and with respective openings disposed in at least said first surface, so as to provide a pathway for transport of a water-containing liquid by capillary action from said openings to said leak-alarm target.

摘要: A method and device for detecting leaks of a containment barrier. The method may comprise placing the barrier in contact with one or more volumes of fluid such that the one or more volumes of fluid is in contact with a first surface and a second surface of the containment barrier, then placing a first electrode in contact with a first volume of fluid within in a first area defined by the first surface of the containment barrier. The method may then comprise placing a second electrode in contact with a second volume of fluid in a second area defined by the second surface of the containment barrier, measuring electrical conductivity between the first and second electrodes; and determining a presence of a leak in the containment barrier based on a calculation using properties of the one or more volumes of fluid, the containment barrier, and the measured electrical conductivity.

摘要: Leak detection apparatus has an installable detector comprising a plurality of spaced apart electrical electrodes. A controller operably interfaces the plurality of electrical electrodes. The controller is configured for detecting a leak by detecting current flow through water pooled between the electrodes. The detector is installable within wall and void spaces surrounding wet areas such as bathroom baths, showers, cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom basins and the like. As such, the detector is able to detect a leak when a waterproof membrane is compromised, or movement and/or poor workmanship allows water to flow therethrough. The detector may comprise a flexible body which may be elongate for installation in tight spaces and around corners and/or a mat for covering large areas such as under baths and which may be cut to size to fit.
