    摘要: A crossbar assembly for facilitating isolation of a sensor assembly from vibration comprises an outer crossbar segment, an inner crossbar segment, and an isolator. The outer crossbar segment comprises a payload mount interface and an outer isolator interface operable to mount to an isolator. The inner crossbar segment comprises a structure interface and an inner isolator interface operable to mount to the isolator. The isolator can be supported by the outer and inner crossbar segments. The isolator comprises a first wire rope assembly comprising wire ropes extending longitudinally from the outer crossbar segment to the inner crossbar segment, and a second wire rope assembly comprising a wire rope extending circumferentially between the outer and inner crossbar segments. The isolator operates to partially decouple the outer crossbar segment from the inner crossbar segment and dampen vibrations propagating between the outer and inner crossbar segments.

The roll-elevation assembly is rotatably connected to the cross-elevation assembly along a first rotation axis via a radial roller bearing and a thrust roller bearing. The payload interface assembly is rotatably connected to the roll-elevation assembly along a second rotation axis via a radial roller bearing and a thrust roller bearing. The suspension interface yoke is rotatably connected to the cross-elevation assembly along a third rotation axis via one or more radial roller bearings and one or more thrust roller bearings. The payload interface housing comprises a payload interface operable to couple the payload interface housing to an inertially stabilized payload.

    摘要: A backing component configured to receive and attenuate transmitted acoustic signals from a transducer element in an ultrasound probe is disclosed. The backing component has a unitary structure of a first material and a second material, and a variation in packing density of the first material across at least a portion of a thickness of the backing component. Further, a method of making a backing component for a transducer element in an ultrasound probe is disclosed. The method includes performing an additive manufacturing technique using a first material and a second material to form the backing component that has a unitary structure of the first material and the second material. Performing the additive manufacturing technique involves varying a packing density of the first material across at least a portion of thickness of the backing component.

The excitation of various mechanical movements, including resonances, in the mechanical assembly of an SPM can adversely effect its performance, especially for high speed applications. An actuator is used to compensate for the movements. The actuator may operate in only the z direction, or may operate in other directions. The actuator(s) may be located at positions of antinodes.

    摘要: A piezoresistive pressure sensor that uses a protective gel to protect the piezoresistive device is susceptible to lead wire failure by vibration-induced waves in the protective gel. Such waves can be reduced and the device made more robust by the use of three-dimensional structures in the gel, which are configured to reduce and/or re-direct vibration-induced pressure waves in the gel. The structures are referred to as “breakwaters” in that they protect lead wires and lead wire connections from wave fronts and the damage that wave-induced pressure on the lead wires causes.

    摘要: A gauge carrier for absorbing longitudinal and radial shock forces on a shock sensitive gauge in a gauge housing where the gauge is insertable and retrievable with a unit assembly. The gauge or gauges are coupled to a longitudinal shock absorber comprised of belleville springs by a ball and socket arrangement to isolate longitudinal shock waves from the gauge while annular resilient members provide radial shock absorption for the gauge in the housing. The longitudinal shock absorber can be selectively pre-loaded.
