    Abstract: An igniter for a burner in a cooking system. The igniter comprises a spark unit including two electrodes that define a spark gap, a spark module electrically connected to the electrodes to apply a high-voltage pulse across the electrodes to generate a spark in the spark gap, and a remote sending unit that sends an ignite signal to the spark module to generate a spark in the spark gap to light the burner. A local ignite signal can be initiated from the spark module. The spark module and the remote sending unit can be clamped to a gas hose supplying gas to the burner. The spark unit can be attached to a variety of burners by attachments to position the spark gap in the burner's gas flow. A single-electrode igniter is also described.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an electronic detonation device for a blasting system. The electronic detonation device include: an electronic detonator; a wireless communication module; an electric wire connecting the electronic detonator to the wireless communication module; and a communication module support in which the electric wire is stored in a wound state, with the wireless communication module positioned on an upper surface of the communication module support. The communication module support is provided with a pile part configured to be driven into a ground for fixation, so that the electronic detonation device enables stable communication reliability to be secured by orienting the wireless communication module toward the sky, thereby preventing malfunction during blasting and improving blasting accuracy.

    Abstract: An improved fireset for detonating an explosive includes a voltage monitor arranged to measure a voltage across a quickly dischargeable energy storage device (QDESD), such as a capacitor, and to perform a detonation sequence based at least in part on the voltage measured by the voltage monitor. The fireset employs feedback from the voltage monitor to promote accurate charging of the QDESD and accurate maintenance of charge during an armed state. The voltage monitor also promotes safety by allowing the fireset to indicate when the QDESD is discharged to a safe level, i.e., one which is assured not to result in detonation.

    Abstract: An electrical delay detonator for use in blasting initiation systems energized by a non-electric impulse signal transmitted through a non-electrical conduit, such as a shock tube, with one end inserted inside a detonator housing having redundant sensors for detecting the presence of a non-electric impulse signal and a computerized control circuit for actuating the firing circuit. An elevated voltage is generated, stored in a capacitor assembly, and discharged when fired to an electrically operable igniter. The igniter, when activated, detonates an explosive mass. A battery is also contained within the detonator housing for powering the control circuit and one sensor, in low consumption mode, for several days. Upon detecting the presence of a signal the rest of the circuits are powered up. Periodic time windows generated by the control assembly provide corresponding enabled time periods for the sensors to become operational.
