摘要:
In accordance with the flow distribution of combustion gas including an unburned portion, an after-air port (AAP) arranged downstream of the two-stage combustion burner can effectively reduce the unburned portion by dividing as appropriate so as to avoid interaction, and by mixing together, two types of after-air having functions of linearity and spreading. As the configuration of this AAP, a primary nozzle for supplying primary after-air and having a vertical height greater than the horizontal width is provided in the center in the opening of the AAP, a secondary nozzle for supplying secondary after-air is provided in the opening outside of the primary nozzle, and one or more secondary after-air guide vanes having a fixed or variable tilt angle relative to the after-air port center axis are provided at the outlet of the said secondary nozzle to deflect and supply the secondary after-air horizontally to the left or right.

Disclosed is a fireplace which includes a firebase, a primary combustion zone with a first air supply unit, a secondary combustion zone, and an exhaust flue. The fireplace place also includes a charcoal/reduction layer which forms between the primary combustion zone and the secondary combustion zone, the arrangement and construction being such that the gases and/or particulate matter produced from the pyrolysis and/or combustion of the biomass fuel in the primary combustion zone have to pass over, or through, the charcoal/reduction layer prior to entering the secondary combustion zone and/or the exhaust flue. The fireplace also includes a second air supply unit for introducing heated secondary air into, or adjacent to, the secondary combustion zone, the arrangement and construction being such that the secondary air passes through (or adjacent to the region of) the charcoal/reduction layer to thus heat the secondary air.

A furnace system includes a burner assembly configured to generate combustion products within a primary combustion zone comprising one or more burners. The furnace system includes a panel disposed downstream of the burner assembly along a flow path for the combustion products, where the panel includes at least one panel opening. The furnace system also includes a secondary combustion air gap defined by one or more spacers disposed between the burner assembly and the panel, such that a secondary combustion zone is established between the burner assembly and the panel and/or downstream of the panel. The secondary combustion air gap is downstream from and external the burner assembly.

There is disclosed a solid fuel boiler including: a furnace including a plurality of solid fuel burners and a furnace wall to perform horizontal firing; a duct through which a part of combustion exhaust gas recirculates to a furnace from a downstream side of the furnace; heat exchanger tubes disposed on a furnace wall and in a heat recovery area of the furnace; and recirculation gas ports via which the recirculation gas is supplied to a reducing flame portion of the burners in the furnace without combining the gas with a flame in the vicinity of an outlet of the burner, so that molten ash is prevented from firmly sticking to the furnace wall and thermal NOx, fuel NOx, and unburned carbon.

A reactor for reducing the contents of nitrogen oxides and sulphur oxides in combustion gases. The reactor is in the form of a post-combustion chamber to be connected after a combustion chamber. The reactor has a casing including a generally cylindrical main part transforming at its top into a dome-shaped outlet part with an outlet opening. Around the casing of the reactor, there is provided a heat-insulated wall whose inner side has substantially the same shape as the casing and which is eccentrically disposed in relation to the casing. The casing of the reactor accommodates a partition which is conical and has its apex directed towards the outlet opening. A gap is formed between the shell and the partition. At the inlet end of the shell, an inlet funnel is provided at a certain distance from the inlet end as so to form a gap. A heat exchanger is provided for preheating secondary air supplied through a secondary air intake into the gap between the casing and the wall at a certain distance from the opening. At the bottom, the gap is connected to a collecting box and an outlet pipe.

The burner means for a blast furnace stove having a vertical shell, a combustion chamber adjacent the inside wall of the shell and checkers in the shell includes a generally horizontal first tube extending from the outside of the shell into communication with the combustion chamber, a ceramic tube within the first tube spaced therefrom, and a ceramic nozzle at the inner end of the ceramic tube extending upwardly at an angle between 45.degree. and 90.degree.. Air of fuel gas passes within the first tube around the ceramic tube and the other of the air or fuel passes within the ceramic tube with the gas and air mixing and burning upwardly in the combustion chamber.

A stove having automatic chimney air flow compensation for reductions in air flow to its combustion chamber is disclosed. An increase or decrease in compensatory air flow is dependent upon the movement of ganged dampers. The amount of compensatory chimney air flow is dependent upon the size and/or position of apertures and blocking portions formed respectively in the ganged dampers. The dampers can be configured, as appropriate, and thereby tuned, to be particularly responsive to local conditions. The stove is provided with a conduit positioned to provide a source of fresh air. The conduit is clamped to the stove to heat the air flowing therein and thereby prevent exhaust gas condensation and creosote buildup when it rises in and from the chimney. One of the ganged dampers is inserted into the conduit and acts, due to the nature of its linkage with the stove damper, to block air flow therein when the linkage with the stove damper, to block air flow therein when the stove damper increases air flow to the combustion chamber and increase conduit air flow when the flow of stove inlet air is reduced. This inverse and automatic damper action makes it easy and efficient for a user to adjust stove combustion rates with significantly reduced concern about chimney fire.

A bio-mass burner having a continuous feed on demand to a first combustion chamber that contains a hollow grate structure. The novel method of operation includes the use of at least one venturi tube which is in fluid communication with the hollow grate structure to establish an air flow into a second combustion chamber. Primary air to support combustion in the first chamber is supplied to the underside of the grate structure. Secondary air to support combustion in the second chamber is supplied through the hollow grate structure and then to the venturi tube in a sufficiently tortuous path through the first combustion chamber to insure that the air is superheated at the outlet of the venturi tube. A baffle arrangement in the first combustion chamber directs the fuel product toward the grate structure and assists in preventing any unburned gases from being ejected into the atmosphere.

A heat regenerator of the type comprising, within a wall of refractory material, a space containing a pile of bricks (checker brick) and a burner stack separated therefrom by a separating wall, the cylindrical wall of the heat regenerator and the separating wall consisting of more than one layer of refractory material, in which at least for part of the walls and in particular for the separating wall between checker bricks and burner stack, at least one of the layers of refractory material is subdivided by a vertically extending expansion joint to avoid cracks, damage and gas leaks through the concerning wall or walls. Preferably there is a number of such joints in the separating wall, extending at least over the height of the lower half of the burner stack. The facing edges of the layer at the joint have grooves with sealing bricks engaging therein or tongues and grooves engaging sealingly, with a compressible filler of ceramic wool or felt sealing the joint in cold condition of the regenerator.
