    摘要: A premixing apparatus has: a fan; an air tube; and a gas tube inside the air tube; provided that a direction toward an air flow upstream side inside the air tube is defined as an X+ direction, an air adjusting valve facing an air inlet port positioned at an end, in the X+ direction, of the air tube; a gas adjusting valve facing a gas outlet port positioned at one end of the gas tube; and a common actuator driving the air adjusting valve and the gas adjusting valve. At an end, in the X− direction, of the gas tube, is disposed a valve seat having formed therein the gas outlet port, and a gas adjusting valve inside the gas tube. A valve stem penetrates through an end wall, in the X+ direction, of the gas tube. The gas adjusting valve is driven by the actuator through the valve stem.

The stack includes a controlling unit that suppresses release of the flue gas outside from the stack and suppresses inflow of atmosphere to the stack, and the controlling unit is a channel forming unit that forms a serpentine channel through which the flue gas and the atmosphere in the stack flow.

    摘要: The damper baffle includes a U-shaped sub-frame and a temperature resistant insulation damper mat draped over and secured upright to the sub-frame for use in the ventilation system of a coke oven. The damper mat is a thick sheet of silica needle mat, which provides the thermal barrier of the damper baffle. The sub-frame is a bent high temperature steel rod which is bolted directly to the base plate of a conventional lift frame and lift mechanism. Two pairs of support plates secure and support the mat over the sub-frame in an upright orientation. The damper baffle seeks to provide a light-weight damper baffle for use in coke ovens, which eliminates the need for the heavy and cumbersome refractory baffle blocks.

    摘要: Damper apparatus for air ports of a chemical recovery furnace is mounted on a removable windbox faceplate. Damper blades extend from a cantilevered arm pivoted at the forward side of the faceplate, with the damper blades being otherwise unsupported, i.e., they are not confined to travel in tracks within the windbox. Rather, a counterweight urges the damper blades against the air port opening whereby the whole mechanism is free for removal as a unit with the faceplate. Cooperatively operable air port cleaning apparatus is also mounted on the faceplate.

    摘要: The downward burning of a vertical stack of solid fuel in a vertical furnace shaft is controlled by supplying most of the combustion air to the side of the stack through vertically spaced apart rows of combustion air supply openings in the vertical furnace shaft, each row of combustion air supply openings being generally horizontally oriented and including a plurality of separate openings. Each row of combustion air supply openings is supplied with combustion air through a separate combustion air supply channel, and the combination air fed to each supply channel is controlled by a distribution element which shifts the supply of combustion air to lower rows of air supply openings as the combustion zone moves down to the bottom of the vertical stack.
