    摘要: The invention relates to an actuator comprising a stationary structure and an actuating element that is movable relative to the stationary structure, a device for locking the actuating element in position which is mounted on the stationary structure and has a state for locking and a state for releasing the actuating element. The locking device comprises, successively, a stress limiter and at least one locking element so arranged as to be butting against one surface of the actuating element, in order to oppose a motion of the actuating element in a predetermined direction. The actuator comprises a member for controlling the locking device in the releasing state thereof and a member for resiliently returning the locking device to the locking state thereof.

    摘要: Provided are half system torque brakes, aircraft utilizing these brakes, and methods of installing these brakes. A half system torque brake includes an input cam assembly slidably disposed on a compression shaft between first and second output cam assemblies. The second output cam assembly is disposed between the input cam assembly and a rotor-stator assembly. When a torque differential between the input cam assembly and either one of the output cam assemblies exceeds its threshold, the same rotor-stator assembly is engaged and prevents further rotation of any cam assembly. Specifically, when the torque differential corresponding to the first output cam assembly exceeds its threshold, this assembly advances away from the input cam assembly and pulls the compression shaft in the same direction, which in turn engages the rotor-stator assembly by advancing the pressure plate to the second output cam assembly. The second output cam engages the rotor-stator assembly directly.

The invention can be applied to an engine-transmission unit for motor vehicles.

The detent members are configured to transition the torque limiting device between (i) a drive state in which the input shaft assembly rotates the output shaft assembly about the axis and (ii) a tripped state in which the input shaft assembly does not rotate the output shaft assembly about the axis depending on forces provided to the detent members, by the input shaft assembly, in respective radial directions away from the axis and toward the base.
