Abstract: A brake device (102), in particular a utility vehicle disc brake, has a brake disc (106), at least one brake pad (104, 104′), a transmission member (114) coupled to the brake pad (104, 104′) for pressing the brake pad (104, 104′) against the brake disc (106), a drive for generating a drive variable, a non-linear mechanism (110) operatively connected to the drive and the transmission member (114) for transmission of the drive variable to the transmission member (114), and an adjusting unit (120) for adjusting a clearance (108) between the transmission member (114) and the brake disc (106). The device includes a brake pad wear sensor for detecting the degree of wear of the brake pad (104, 104′) and a control unit, with a signal-carrying connection to the sensor to vary the clearance (108) as a function of the wear of the brake pad (104, 104′) determined by the sensor.

Abstract: A multi-disk brake assembly includes a stator disk that is non-rotatable, a rotatable rotor disk arranged adjacently and coaxially with the stator disk, and an axial retention device. The rotor disk and the stator disk are axially moveable between an engaged position during braking operation and a disengaged position during a released mode of operation. The axial retention device is axially moveable and supports at least one of the disks. The axial retention device includes a set of axially translatable pins or bolts that are pushed by the disks during the braking operation and maintain a predetermined space between the disks during the released mode of operation. The predetermined space and position of the disks is maintained when the brake assembly is subject to forces due to vehicle acceleration or cornering.

Abstract: A multi-disk brake assembly includes a stator disk that is non-rotatable, a rotatable rotor disk arranged adjacently and coaxially with the stator disk, and an axial retention device. Abstract: A one-nut slack adjuster with a nut axially disposed having clutch surfaces and on non-self-locking engagement on a spindle coaxially positioned within a tube moving axially to apply brakes has a spring biased thrust bearing held forwardly on the nut in the brake application direction disposed to engage a fixed position control member and when the nut is moved axially forwardly a predetermined desired slack distance thereby to bias the nut backwardly. A second trust bearing on this nut is placed forward of the control member to engage it at a distance from rest less than the clutch separation distance.In a double acting embodiment a further trust bearing spring biased between the nut and tube in a position forward of the control member holds the nut in a forward direction in clutch engagement.A further feature is a barrel spring arrangement foreshortening the assembly by a sleeve converting two coaxially disposed spring sections in series.

Abstract: A brake device for a work vehicle includes a brake unit including a brake disc plate and a piston having a slide portion slidably supported by an axle housing and a pressure portion for pressing the brake disc plate. A slack adjuster mechanism is disposed on the axially opposite side of the brake disc plate with respect to the piston while being disposed further on an inner peripheral side than the slide portion of the piston.
