Abstract:
A support system for supporting a work surface, such as a floating roof during maintenance of the associated tank. More particularly, the present disclosure is directed to providing a system composed on elements which can be transported without constrictive spaces, assembled within work area, and employed to provide support to a structure above and to provide a safe working environment therein. The support system includes four support members, each having a jack, a lower, and a cap, eight connectors which fix the support members in relation to one another and provide rigidity, and may include two connecting shafts to permit simultaneous adjustment of two jacks on a side of the support system.
Abstract:
The inflatable scaffolding is a self-erecting structure that forms a raised working platform similar to a scaffolding. The inflatable scaffolding comprises a plurality of inflatable bladders, a flooring, a guarding, a ladder, and a pump. The plurality of inflatable bladders is a stack of bladders. When pressurized air provided by the pump inflates one or more bladders selected from the plurality of bladders, the span of the distance of the vertical height is increased. The flooring and the guarding are located on the surface of the plurality of inflatable bladders distal from the supporting surface. When each of the one or more selected bladders is fully inflated, flooring and the guarding form a raised working platform that is similar to the structure commonly referred to as scaffolding. To erect the scaffolding to it greatest vertical height, all the inflatable bladders contained within the plurality of inflatable bladders are inflated.
Abstract:
A mobile lifting apparatus includes (a) a bottom tower section having a first bottom sidewall and an opposed second bottom sidewall; (b) a top tower section coupled to and vertically translatable relative to the bottom tower section; (c) a work platform coupled to and vertically translatable with the top tower section; and (d) an elevating assembly operable to translate the top tower section relative to the bottom tower section between a raised position in which a work surface of the work platform is at an elevation above the bottom tower section, and a lowered position in which the top tower section and the work surface are at least partially nested within the bottom tower section with the work surface at an elevation below upper edges of the first and second bottom sidewalls for reducing the entry and exit height of the work platform.
Abstract:
A vehicle and method for tending to an elevated livestock cage includes a support frame, a base, a drive unit, and an elevated platform. The support frame extends upward from the base, and the drive unit is operatively attached to the base for moving the base along the aisle. The elevated platform is affixed to the support frame and is positioned above the base at a height suitable to facilitate access to the elevated livestock cage. The support frame and the elevated platform are configured to support an operator while moving the operator along an aisle of a confinement facility.
Abstract:
A trolley for supporting the plate during vertical rolling of the plate is provided. In one embodiment, the trolley can include a support body configured to provide support for the trolley; a plurality of wheels configured to allow the trolley to move across a floor; a lifting arm supported by the support body, wherein the lifting arm is movable about a first position and a second position; a pump handle configured to raise the lifting arm between the first position and the second position; and a plate holder configured to move with the lifting arm and hold the plate in place relative to the trolley.
Abstract:
A scaffolding assembly configured for use with an assembly table is provided. In one embodiment, the scaffolding assembly can include an inner scaffolding and an outer scaffolding, wherein the inner scaffolding and the outer scaffolding each include: a plurality of main posts having a lower end and an upper end; an extendible arm connected to each of the main posts, wherein the extendible arm is configured to extend substantially perpendicular from the main post; and a tertiary scaffolding support connected to the extendible arm and the main post, the tertiary support configured to transfer at least some of the force from the extendible arm to the main post, wherein the scaffolding assembly is configured to attach to the assembly table, such that the scaffolding assembly receives support from the assembly table.
Abstract:
A substructure of a drill rig includes, among other things, a base and an intermediate section that is adapted to be raised above the base, wherein the intermediate section is further adapted to be laterally moved in a first lateral direction relative to the base and maintained substantially parallel to the base during the raising of the intermediate section above the base. The substructure further includes a rig floor section that is adapted to be raised above the intermediate section, wherein the rig floor section is further adapted to be laterally moved in a second lateral direction relative to the base and maintained substantially parallel to the base during the raising of the rig floor section above the intermediate section, the second lateral direction being opposite to the first lateral direction.
Abstract:
A step stool includes an inner frame, an outer frame, an actuator, and a coupler. The inner frame includes two inner pillars, and the outer frame includes two outer pillars attached to a platform near opposite ends of the platform and configured to receive the two inner pillars. The actuator is coupled to one of the two inner pillars and one of the two outer pillars, and is operable to raise the outer frame relative to the inner frame. The coupler couples the two outer pillars to each other to evenly lift the opposite ends of the platform when the actuator raises the outer frame.
Abstract:
A telescopic mast system includes a telescopic mast comprising a plurality of telescopic mast sections and a drive mechanism for extending and retracting the telescopic mast sections. The drive mechanism includes a rigid chain having one end connected to a last one of the telescopic mast sections to move the telescopic mast sections and a plurality of guide plates cooperating with the telescopic mast sections to prevent buckling of the rigid chain.
Abstract:
A movable platform system for performing workover tasks on a wellhead includes a platform base with a base wellhead access gap at its front end. At least one track is fixed to the upper surface of the platform base and extends from the rear of the platform base to a position near the rearward edge of the base wellhead access gap. A platform support frame with a wellhead access gap at its front end is coupled to the track and configured for movement along the length of the track. An upper platform is connected to the platform support frame and also has a platform wellhead access gap at its front end. The three wellhead access gaps at the three levels of the platform system are substantially aligned when the movable platform support frame is disposed and locked in the working position above the wellhead. Workers on the upper platform have access to equipment surrounding the wellhead.
