    Abstract: An outdoor shelter having a tarp, a first loop at a first corner of the tarp on a first edge of the tarp, a second loop at a second corner of the tarp on the first edge of the tarp, a first rope at a first corner of the tarp on a second edge of the tarp opposite and parallel to the first edge of the tarp, and a second rope at a second corner of the tarp on the second edge of the tarp. The tarp, the first loop, the second loop, the first rope, and the second rope are stored in a pouch fixed to the tarp when the shelter is not in use. When needed, this outdoor shelter can be deployed in the shape of a lean-to or in the shape of a pointed snow plow.

    Abstract: A sunshade device and management system for mitigating the effects of climate change and direct and prolonged exposure to the sun, the sunshade device including a reflective canopy attached to a collapsible web or frame structure. The sunshade device is positioned above the ground by a combination of lifting balloons and positioning machines for managing the elevation, shape and geolocation of the sunshade device. A sunshade management system controls the status of the sunshade device, and can collapse and ground the sunshade in the evening, or during rainy weather, or cloudy days, or when severe weather-related events, such as thunderstorms, tornados, hurricane, etc. are anticipated, and can relaunch the sunshade device when such conditions have passed.

    Abstract: A hammock enclosure designed for preferably one or two hammocks can be used in a variety of settings and locales due to a number of features of the enclosure. The hammock enclosure has sides made of a high quality netting to prevent insects from entering the enclosure. Additionally, an adjustable, water proof rain fly is positioned above the enclosure and the bottom of the enclosure also comprises a water proof material. The hammock enclosure is affixed, preferably to two trees, and the hammocks then hung inside. The lines for the hammocks pass through openings which may be cinched close to again prevent water, insects, and the like from entering the enclosure. Alternatively, the hammock enclosure may be secured to the ground via loops, an upper loop(s), and a securement mechanism. This enables the hammock enclosure to be utilized as a traditional ground shelter.

    Abstract: A net deployment system is adapted to deploying a net around a desired area having a wall adjacent to a floor. The net deployment system has a first swing arm, pivotally attached to the wall and further attached to the wall with a first support cable. A second swing arm is pivotally attached to the wall and further attached to the wall with a second support cable. A plurality of net support cables join the first swing arm and the second swing arm. A net storage bag is attached to the first swing arm with a first frame cable. A second frame cable is attached to the first frame cable and further attached to the wall between the first frame cable and the second frame cable. A net is housed in the bag and connected to the plurality of set support cables. Pulling the first swing arm away from the wall by rotating the second swing arm lowers the net storage bag toward the floor and deploys the net.

    Abstract: A tie-down anchor for securing an object to a plank deck structure having first and second members spaced apart by a gap. The tie-down anchor includes a shaft assembly and a spring assembly. The shaft assembly includes (a) a longitudinally extending rod, (b) an anchor portion located at a first end of the longitudinally extending rod, and (c) an attachment portion at a second end of the longitudinally extending rod. The anchor portion may include a bar portion sized and shaped for engaging a lower side of the first or second member, or both. The spring assembly includes a compression spring, an upper spring retainer, and a lower spring retainer. The spring assembly is adjustable along the longitudinally extending rod, between the anchor portion and the attachment portion. By engaging the lower spring retainer with the upper side of the first member or the second member, or both, and compressing the compression spring, the bar portion of the anchor portion is pushed below the plank deck structure. Then, the shaft assembly is rotated and subsequently released. Upon installation, the tie-down anchor securely engages the plank deck, by and between the bar portion and the lower spring retainer.
