摘要: An electrochemical reactor designed to increase the efficiency of hydrogen production from faeces and urine (excrement) is disclosed. Said reactor comprises two half-cells separated in a selective manner, a membrane systems separating the half-cells (comprising a proton-exchange and an anion-exchange membranes) and a system of electrical bridges that allow two mutually perpendicular electrical fields to be formed, with the electrical field in the horizontal direction between the two half-cells being greater than the vertical electrical field generated within the anode. The half-cells have a configuration of two resistances in series, which allows the potential of each compartment to be controlled in an independent and complementary manner by adjusting the conductivity of the solutions in the half-cells. Said configuration allows the consumption of energy to form hydrogen to be significantly reduced in comparison with conventional electrolytic cells using water in an alkaline medium by combining the chemical processes of electrolysis (anode) and the law of chemical equilibrium (cathode).

摘要: A system includes a microstructure layer, a photovoltaic layer disposed over the microstructure layer comprising a positive P-type layer and a negative N-type layer, a hydrogen collection micro-chamber formed through the microstructure layer and the negative layer, and an oxygen collection micro-chamber formed through the microstructure layer and the photovoltaic layer. A cathode may be disposed within the hydrogen collection micro-chamber and an anode may be disposed within the oxygen collection micro-chamber. The micro-chambers may be spaced between about 1 and 10 micrometers apart. An insulating layer may be disposed between the microstructure layer and the photovoltaic layer. A supplemental storage layer may be disposed over the photovoltaic layer such that a storage portion is in alignment with the hydrogen collection micro-chamber. MEMS actuators may be located at the ends of the hydrogen collection micro-chamber to facilitate hydrogen storage and release.

摘要: A HHO electrolysis cell mounted in a vehicle for creating hydrogen The hydrogen is mixed with a vehicle's fuel supply for increased fuel mileage. The electrolysis cell includes a cell housing for holding water. A plurality of positive electrode plates are mounted inside the cell housing and attached to a positive pole mounted on top of the cell housing. The positive pole is adapted for connection to a vehicle's electrical source. A plurality of negative electrode plates are mounted inside the housing and indexed in a spaced relationship between each of the positive electrode plates. The negative electrode plates are attached to a negative pole mounted on top of the cell housing. The negative pole is also adapted for connection to a vehicle's electrical source. The negative electrode plates are attached to a moveable plate rod mounted inside the cell housing. One end of the moveable rod is adapted for attachment to a linkage assembly connected to a vehicle's fuel system. As the vehicle accelerates in speed from idle, the plate rod moves the negative plates toward the positive plates, thus increasing the amount of electrolysis of the water in the cell housing and thus increasing the amount of hydrogen generated therein. The hydrogen is discharged out a hydrogen fuel port in the top of the cell housing to the fuel system.
