Abstract: The invention relates to amorphous poly-alpha-olefins, which are characterized in that said amorphous poly-alpha-olefins have a viscosity at 190° C. of less than 5000 mPas, a molar mass distribution (Mw/Mn) of 3 to 8, a quotient Mz/Mw of less than or equal to 3.0 and a quotient Mz/Mn of less than 21.0. The invention further relates to a method for producing degraded amorphous poly-alpha-olefins, in particular the amorphous poly-alpha-olefins according to the invention, and to the use of the amorphous polyalpha-olefins according to the invention or produced according to the invention in hot-melt adhesive compositions.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to an adhesive composition comprising a partially hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer (p-HSBC) and an amorphous polyolefin (APO) having a density of less than 1 g/cm3 and a softening point of 10-120° C. The composition has desirable elastomeric properties as well as beneficial processability characteristics. The unique combination of processability and performance attributes results in the adhesive compositions useful in a variety of applications such as disposable nonwoven hygienic articles, paper converting, flexible packaging, woodworking, carton, case sealing, and other assembly applications.

Abstract: The present invention provides a mask adhesive that plastically deforms easily, no adhesive residue remains after peeling from the mask, ease of handling is excellent, and haze on a pellicle film is unlikely to be increased. A mask adhesive resolving this problem contains a thermoplastic elastomer (A) for which the temperature at which the loss tangent measured at a frequency of 1 Hz is at a maximum value is −20 to 30° C., a tackifier resin (B), and a process oil (C). The total of the proportion (% CP) of paraffin carbon and the proportion (% CN) of naphthene carbon in the process oil (C) is 50% or more. The temperature of the mask adhesive at which the loss tangent measured at a frequency of 1 Hz is at a maximum value is −10 to 30° C., and the sulfur content of the mask adhesive is 300 μg/g or less.
