Abstract: An isoprene-based polymer latex composition includes a chloroprene polymer latex (A) and an isoprene polymer latex (B), in which the chloroprene polymer has a z-average particle size of 180 nm or greater and smaller than 300 nm, and a tetrahydrofuran-insoluble fraction of 80 to 99% by mass; the chloroprene polymer latex (A) is (1) a copolymer latex of chloroprene (A 1) and 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene (A-2-1), or (2) a copolymer latex of the above (A-1) and (A-2 1), and another monomer (A-2-2); and the copolymer is obtained by copolymerization in which the ratio of 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene (A-2-1) is 5.0 to 30.0% by mass relative to the total amount of the monomer components chloroprene (A-1) and 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene (A-2-1) of 100% by mass. The isoprene-based polymer latex composition's quality is maintained, and the properties after cross-linking of a molded product obtained by dipping a dipping former into the composition multiple times do not deteriorate.

The composition comprises a rubber component and based on 100 parts by weight (phr) of the rubber component, 50-200 phr of covered silica, with the covered silica comprising silica core and a first resin covering the silica core, wherein the first resin is not chemically bonded to the silica core. The silica core is covered with the first resin by mixing a slurry comprising silica core with a mixture containing the first resin as a solution, an aqueous dispersion; or a solution by dissolving the first resin in a solvent.

Abstract: A shoe comprising an outsole, where the outsole is comprised of a rubber composition comprised of (A) diene-based elastomer comprising: (1) from about 20 to about 45 phr of high Tg SSBR pre-extended with vegetable oil, wherein said SSBR has a Tg in a range of from about −20° C. to about +10° C. and a bound styrene content in a range of from about 25 to about 50 percent and a vinyl 1,2-content in a range of from about 10 to about 80 percent based on butadiene content, (2) from 55 to about 80 phr of at least one additional diene-based elastomer comprising of at least one of polybutadiene, cis 1,4-polyisoprene rubber, and acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, and (B) about 20 to about 70 phr of reinforcing filler comprised of a combination of carbon black and silica where the filler is comprised of from about 50 to about 100 weight percent silica.

In some embodiments, the hot-melt formulation can include, among other things, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, olefinic block copolymer, amorphous polyolefins, styrene block copolymers, amorphous poly-alpha-olefins, thermoplastic polyolefins, tackifiers, stabilizers, paraffin waxes and/or Fisher Tropsch waxes.

Alternatively, the resin composition for soldering use comprises: an acrylic resin having a weight average molecular weight of 500 or more and less than 2000 as determined by mass spectrometry using a time-of-flight mass spectrometer; and a rosin-based resin, a polyethylene-based resin or a polypropylene-based resin.

Abstract: Disclosed are compositions which include an ethylene polymer derived from at least one polar monomer with one or more ester groups, and a rosin ester. The rosin ester can have a low hydroxyl number (e.g., a hydroxyl number seven or less), a low acid number (e.g., an acid number of ten or less), a relatively low PAN number (e.g., a PAN number less than twenty-five), a relatively high third moment or third power average molecular weight (Mz), (e.g., an Mz value in between 2500 and 12000 g/mol), a low sulfur content (e.g., a sulfur content lower than 600 ppm prior to antioxidant addition) or combinations thereof. The compositions can exhibit a high heat stress resistance (e.g., a heat stress pass temperature value higher than 52° C. or in between 48° C. and 60° C.) and/or improved viscosity stability and/or color stability upon thermal aging and/or improved compatibility.
