Abstract: Provided is a method to reduce allyl group-containing impurities in an oxypropylene group-containing glycol ether using a relatively easy and simple industrial facility and reaction process, to enable the hydrosilylation reaction products and oxypropylene group-containing glycol ether to be easily separated by distillation, or the like, to prevent the oxypropylene group-containing glycol ether from adversely affecting the polymerization reaction when used as a reaction solvent or diluent for polyether-polysiloxane block copolymers, and to easily produce the oxypropylene group-containing glycol ether at low cost. A method for producing oxypropylene group-containing glycol ethers, comprises a step of inducing a hydrosilylation reaction of an allyl group-containing impurity included in an oxypropylene group-containing glycol ether and a silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atom (Si—H)-containing compound. Optionally, an additional purification step is utilized for separating the oxypropylene group-containing glycol ether by distillation or the like.

Abstract: This fluorine-containing curable composition comprises a curable component (A) that provides a cured product under the effect of heat or moisture, and a surface-modifying component (B) that contains a perfluoropolyether compound (b1) having a prescribed structure. The perfluoropolyether compound (b1) in the surface-modifying component (B) is present at 0.005-50 mass parts per 100 mass parts of the curable component (A) excluding volatile components. The fluorine-containing curable composition can be cured by heat or moisture, can be coated on the surface of an article even not containing a fluorine-containing solvent, and can provide the cured product surface with excellent surface characteristics.

Abstract: Provided is a composition or foam stabilizer which has sufficient quality and foam stability even when an inexpensive glycol ether compound is used as a raw material, and that has excellent foam-enhancing performance. The composition contains a specific polyether-polysiloxane block copolymer (A′) and a specific glycol ether compound (B′) at a mass ratio of (A′):(B′)=(20 to 60):(80 to 40) (wherein the total amount of (A′) and (B′) is 100. Abstract: Provided herein is a water-based hybrid pressure sensitive adhesive composition and a method of producing the same. The composition comprises: (A) 100 parts by mass of a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive; (B) 5 to 80 parts by mass of an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive; (C) water in a sufficient amount to emulsify or disperse components (A) and (B) in component (C); and (D) 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of an amino-functional alkoxysilane compound, a hydrolysate thereof, or a hydrolyzed condensate thereof. Components (A) and (B) are emulsified or dispersed in component (C). The composition can be cured to form a pressure sensitive adhesive exhibiting good peel adhesion and low silicone migration.
