摘要: A system and method of injecting a gas enriched and/or emulsified first liquid into a second liquid is disclosed. The injection can cause generation of a high density of bubbles having a mean diameter of a selected size. The mean diameter of the bubbles can be selected and varied based on the characteristics of the injection system.

摘要: A method and system for deselecting biological solids in an influent containing water. The method and system include supplying an influent to an inlet of a reactor comprising at least one of a bioreactor, an internal deselector, a particle deselector, and one or more return lines; dispersing the influent in the bioreactor to form a solid-liquid mixture containing biological solids; retaining, retarding, or providing a differential of, by the internal deselector, biological solids from the solid-liquid mixture to form a deselected solid-liquid mixture and returnable biological solids; feeding said deselected solid-liquid mixture to the particle deselector; deselecting, by the particle deselector, remainder biological solids from the deselected solid-liquid mixture; and supplying, by the one or more return lines, the returnable biological solids to the bioreactor.

摘要: A continuous flow granular/flocculent sludge wastewater process selects for granule biomass capable of nitrogen and phosphorus removal and controls granule size and concentration of granular and flocculent sludge for optimal nutrient, organic, and solids removal in a smaller footprint. A series of biological process zones lead to a secondary clarifier. Mixed liquor sludge, preferably from an aerobic zone, goes through a classifier or separator processing flow from the aerobic zone, to the secondary clarifier. In a sidestream process that can be included a portion of sludge preferably from an aerobic zone goes through a classifier or separator to selectively produce a granular-rich effluent, and the clarifier may also have a separator to further concentrate granular biomass, most of which is cycled back to an initial multi-stage anaerobic process zone. The anaerobic zone is structured and operated to encourage growth of granules in subsequent process zones.

摘要: The present invention discloses a purification method for purifying contaminated water, comprising at least one biological purification path as well as a filtration purification path, wherein the filtration purification path is operated at least partially in parallel to the biological purification path with a partial flow which is removed from the biological purification path. The purification method according to the invention can be used as, preferably last, stage of a purification process in a wastewater treatment plant prior to introducing the purified water into a river, lake or the ocean.

摘要: A water hygiene improving system and method are provided which may include and utilize one or more water hygiene improving devices which may be coupled to a building water supply network at any number of locations so that water passing through each water hygiene improving device is returned to the building water supply network. The water hygiene improving device may include one or more membrane filtration systems and optionally one or more bioreactors. The system and method include a new and innovative approach for surviving or improving water hygiene within the whole water supply network of new or existing buildings, for prevention of their contamination with Legionella or other pathogens, general limitation of biofilm growth and their negative effects on water hygiene, also at point of use (POU), and water distribution within new or existing buildings by limitation of incoming nutrients, bacteria and other microorganisms at point of entry (POE) of buildings or at other locations of the water supply network within the building.

摘要: The present development is a method for producing a high concentration free amino acid soy hydrolysate composition and a method for using the resulting hydrolysate composition. The high concentration free amino acid soy hydrolysate is used to enhance the microbe population found in soil and wastewater. The enhanced microbe population can promote plant growth, particularly for use in brownfields and similar reclamation sites or on turf grasses, and can promote the digestion of sewage solids.

摘要: The present disclosure provides systems and processes for recycling biogenic CO2. A system includes an aquacultural reservoir (102) configured to contain water (108) and aquatic animals (110) that live therein; a separation stage (104) in fluid communication with the aquacultural reservoir, wherein the separation stage is configured to receive water from the aquacultural reservoir and separate biogenic CO2 gas (114) from the water; and a fermentation tank (106) in gas communication with the separation stage, wherein the fermentation tank is configured to receive and convert the biogenic CO2 into biomass (126) by fermentation. The produced biomass can be used to cultivate the aquatic animals in the aquacultural reservoir.
