Abstract: A method and device for failure detection of vacuum sensor is disclosure. The method includes: S1: obtaining a first vacuum pressure when a brake pedal is validly stamped; S2: determining whether a braking action by the brake pedal is maintained, wherein next S3 is performed if yes, and a detection is stopped if not; S3: obtaining a second vacuum pressure when the brake pedal is validly released; and S4: determining whether the second vacuum pressure is within a variable range of the first vacuum pressure, wherein the vacuum sensor is determined to have failed if yes; and, the vacuum sensor is determined to have not failed. The disclosure performs a logical control, and determines whether the vacuum sensor is blockage or failure, thus safety in traffic is ensured, and accidents that the braking action fails due to the blockage or failure of the vacuum sensor is avoided.

Abstract: Valves having a sprung gate of various constructions are disclosed. In one embodiment, the sprung gate includes a first endless elastic band having an inner perimeter defining an open space sandwiched between a first gate member and a second gate member that each define an opening therethrough in an open position portion thereof. The first endless elastic band is sandwiched therebetween with its open space oriented for alignment with the opening in both of the first and second gate members, which are aligned with one another to form a passage through the sprung gate. In one aspect, the first endless elastic band in positioned inward a distance from the outer sides of the first and second gate members and spaces the first gate member a distance apart from the second gate member thereby defining a channel having a bottom defined by the first endless elastic band.

Abstract: Valves having a sprung gate of various constructions are disclosed. In one embodiment, the sprung gate includes a first endless elastic band having an inner perimeter defining an open space sandwiched between a first gate member and a second gate member that each define an opening therethrough in an open position portion thereof. Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for controlling motive flow through an ejector using a pneumatically controlled valve. A vacuum actuated valve may be opened at low vacuum conditions to increase motive flow through the ejector while the valve is closed at high vacuum conditions to decrease the motive flow. This allows motive flow through the ejector to be controlled based on vacuum needs at low component cost.

Abstract: A vacuum assist pump system includes a vacuum assist pump for assisting to a brake system by vacuum, wherein it includes a suction compensation pump connected with the vacuum assist pump. Abstract: A brake system provided with a brake booster using intake negative pressure of an engine for boosting a brake operating force for a vehicle. A requested braking force is detected base on an operating amount of a brake pedal, and when the requested braking force is less than a threshold value, a master cylinder pressure prevailing in the master cylinder using an operating force boosted by the brake booster is supplied to the wheel cylinder. On the other hand, when the requested braking force is greater than or equal to the threshold value, brake fluid pressure having been boosted by a pump is supplied to the wheel cylinder. The threshold value is set to a value that becomes greater the larger the negative pressure inside the brake booster.

Abstract: A power brake apparatus includes a hydraulic pressure intensifier apparatus, having a hydraulic pressure intensifier controlled by a vacuum powered actuator. The hydraulic pressure intensifier defines a circuit for hydraulic fluid having an intensifier inlet for receiving hydraulic fluid from a master cylinder of the power brake apparatus at a master cylinder pressure, and an intensifier outlet for selectively delivering hydraulic pressure to a braking device at either the master cylinder pressure or at an intensified pressure higher than the master cylinder pressure. The vacuum powered actuator selectively controls the hydraulic pressure intensifier to deliver hydraulic fluid at the intensifier outlet at the master cylinder pressure when vacuum is available for providing power braking and at the intensified hydraulic pressure when vacuum is not available.
