Abstract: A plasticizing device includes: a flat screw that has a groove forming surface on which a spiral first groove is formed, and that rotates; a barrel that has a facing surface facing the groove forming surface and that includes a communication hole through which a plasticizing material flows; a heater that heats resin pellets; and a screw case that accommodates the flat screw and that includes a passage port through which the resin pellets pass toward the flat screw, in which the flat screw has a first side surface on which a first supply port for supplying the resin pellets to the first groove is formed and a second side surface formed on a side farther from the barrel than the first side surface, and a first distance, which is a shortest distance between the first side surface and the screw case, is larger than a second distance, which is a shortest distance between the second side surface and the screw case.

Abstract: A control device for an injection molding machine including a cylinder into which a resin is supplied and a screw that moves forward and rearward and rotates inside the cylinder, includes a metering control unit that performs metering of the resin inside the cylinder by controlling forward rotation and rearward movement of the screw until the screw has been moved rearward to a predetermined metering position, based on predetermined metering conditions, a rearward movement speed acquisition unit acquiring a rearward movement speed of the screw, a speed determination unit that determines a suck back speed for causing a resin pressure to reach a target pressure, based on the rearward movement speed acquired during metering by the rearward movement speed acquisition unit, and a suck back control unit causing the screw to move further rearward based on the suck back speed, after the screw has reached the predetermined metering position.

Abstract: Resin supply system in which resin material is stored in a pouch in a degassed state ready for use. The pouch comprises a body portion forming a reservoir for resin material and a connector portion in fluid communication therewith. The connector portion includes an outlet which is configured to be connected to an injector head of an injector assembly, the injector head being connectable to a mould by means of connecting tubing to provide a resin supply thereto. The pouch is configured to be mountable in a housing of the injector assembly and is compressed by hydrostatic pressure of water surrounding the pouch in a chamber of the housing. The application of pressure by a piston moving in a direction transfers pressure to the water and then to the pouch in a controlled manner to provide the resin supply to the mould. After use, the pouch is removed and discarded thereby substantially eliminating the need for cleaning of the housing after use.

Abstract: A plasticizing device includes a plasticizing mechanism including a feeding port for receiving a material and configured to plasticize the material to generate a melted material and a material feeding mechanism configured to feed the material to the plasticizing mechanism. The material feeding mechanism includes a housing including a depositing port communicating with the feeding port, the housing storing the material, and a rotating member housed in the housing and capable of rotating along an inner edge of the housing. A plurality of through-holes are provided in the rotating member at intervals along an outer circumference of the rotating member. When the rotating member rotates and any one of the plurality of through-holes and the depositing port communicate, the material stored in the housing is fed from the feeding port to the plasticizing mechanism through the depositing port.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a three-dimensional object (50) by means of generative construction in a direct constructional sequence from at least one solidifiable material. At least one material component is discharged in a programmable way via a control device in the direct constructional sequence and, as a result of the discharge, produces structurally different regions of the object (50) that are joined together, wherein geometric relationships obtained during the discharge already correspond to the object (50). The fact that configuration criteria for the structurally different regions of the object (50) are predefined to the control device by using a selection, and that the discharge unit is controlled by the control device during the discharge of the at least one material component for the structurally different regions of the object by using the selected configuration criteria in order to configure a three-dimensional structure desired for the respective region of the object, means that a method is provided by means of which the discharge of the material can be carried out in accordance with individual requirements on the object.

Abstract: A fire retardant molding contains a thermoplastic compound and an inorganic flameproof agent that is mixed with the thermoplastic compound and which acts by separating from water, having a proportion in the range of 10 wt % to 90 wt %. The fire retardant molding is produced by mixing the thermoplastic material with an inorganic flame-proofing agent, the flame-proofing agent having a proportion in the range of 20 wt % to 80 wt %, and by outputting the compound obtained by mixing, in particular as a flat product. The fire retardant molding is advantageously used, for example, in or on land-based vehicles, water-based vehicles, aircraft and buildings.
