A method for forming the tungsten disulfide surface treatment through roughening the substrate surface in a controlled manner is disclosed.

    摘要: A method of protecting dyes printed on print media against ozonolysis is provided. The method comprises: (a) providing a first reaction product comprising the reaction of a phenylenediamine or derivative thereof (an anti-ozonant) with a silica or silicate; and (b) reacting the first reaction product in the presence of a water-free solvent with silica groups to form a second reaction product. Also provided is the reaction product resulting from the reaction of (1) the anti-ozonant-silica (or silicate) and (2) silica groups on a substrate. The anti-ozonant-silica (or silicate) is covalently attached to the particles of silica in the media and cannot escape or evaporate away. The use of phenylenediamines as anti-ozonants solves the problem of the fading of dyes on porous media by ozone pollution.

The chemical indicator ink contains at least one pH indicator dye selected from the group consisting of Bromocresol green, Bromophenol blue, Methyl red, Ethyl orange, and combinations thereof. The pH indicator dye undergoes an irreversible color change when exposed to ethylene oxide vapor in the presence of low-temperature steam, but when exposed to other sterilization processes either does not undergo a color change or undergoes a color change that is different than is obtained when exposed to ethylene oxide.

    摘要: Systems and methods are described for environmental exchange control for a polymer on a wafer surface. An apparatus for controlling an exchange between an environment and a polymer on a surface of a wafer located in the environment includes: a chamber adapted to hold the wafer, define the environment, and maintain the polymer in an adjacent relationship with the environment; and a heater coupled to the chamber. A method for improving performance of a spin-on material includes: forming the spin-on material on a surface of a wafer; then locating the spin-on material in an environment so that said environment is adjacent said spin-on material; and then controlling an exchange between the spin-on material and said environment. The systems and methods provide advantages because inappropriate deprotection is mitigated by careful control of the environmental temperature and environmental species partial pressures (e.g. relative humidity).

    摘要: The present invention provides a method that is capable of crystallizing a very small amount of solution arranged on a substrate at a predetermined position. By ejecting a solution prepared by dissolving a thin film forming material in a solvent using an ink jet method, droplets of the solution are arranged on the substrate. Crystalline nuclei are created in the solution by controlling a partial pressure of a gas made up of the same components as those of the solvent in the vicinity of the droplets immediately after being arranged to, e.g., a value equal to or substantially equal to the saturation vapor pressure. After creation of the crystalline nuclei, the partial pressure of the gas in the vicinity of the droplets is reduced.

More specifically the improved substrate exhibits a supported surface layer of silicon dioxide on a silicon support material, on another solid support material, or on a silicon layer supported on another solid support material.
