摘要: A discharge grate assembly in a discharge end wall system in a mill shell of a grinding mill. The mill shell defines a mill shell chamber in which a charge including grinding balls and ore-bearing rocks is positioned. The mill shell is rotatable about a central axis thereof for comminution of the ore-bearing rocks to form the grinding balls into worn grinding balls and to produce a slurry including liquid and worn rock pieces from the ore-bearing rocks. The discharge grate assembly includes a body with elongate apertures therein, each aperture extending between a first end thereof and a wider second end thereof. The first and second ends of the aperture are partially defined by respective first and second end walls that are at least partially rectilinear, for impeding the worn grinding balls and the worn rock pieces from lodging in the aperture.

摘要: The method of producing lithium titanate anode material for lithium ion battery applications is comprising of: a) mixing of mixed phase having 60-80% anatase and 20-40% rutile of TiO2 as titanium precursor with Li2CO3 as lithium precursor in a stoichiometric ratio of 5:4 and adding with 2 to 5% stearic acid as process control agent as well as carbon precursor; b) milling in horizontal attrition milling unit maintained with the ball to powder ratio of 10:1-12:1 at 250-500 rpm for 0.5 to 2 hrs c) repeating the milling for 40 to 48 times; d) palletisation of the milled powder to a diameter of 30-35 mm under a pressure of 0.5-1 ton; e) annealing under inert atmosphere at a temperature of 700-900° C. for a period of 2-12 hrs; and f) grinding the resultant annealed composite powder to a fine powder. Resultant powder has shown excellent electrochemical properties in terms of charge-discharge, cyclic-stability and rate capability.

摘要: A ball mill system grinds, disperses, and reacts substances. A ball mill vessel houses grinding bodies (grinding/milling media) and the materials to be ground or dispersed. The ball milling vessel includes an assembly of three component parts with active structural roles to provide a tight and repeatable seal that allows physical, structural and chemical transformations of materials in the presence of a liquid or a gas, while at the same time enabling easy and effortless opening of the jar after ball milling. The ball milling vessel includes two peripheral half-vessels made of a harder material, connected by a central thick ring made of a softer material. The connecting ring provides an active structural role in the ball milling vessel, as it holds together the peripheral halves of the vessel, while at the same time ensuring a tight seal and protecting the joint where the two half-vessels join.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for preparing two or more batches of material. A first batch is placed into a first container and a second batch is placed into a second container. A grinding media is added to each of the first and second containers. The first and second containers are placed into a movable body, which is moved to induce movement of the first and second containers at least under gravitational force in the movable body so that the grinding media grind the first and second batches inside their respective first and second containers. A system is also provided.

摘要: A process for producing metastable nanocrystalline alpha-alumina (α-Al2O3) having particle sizes smaller than 12 nm. Starting crystallites of α-Al2O3 having a particle size larger than 12 nm, typically on the order of about 50 nm, are ball-milled at low temperatures to produce a nanocrystalline α-Al2O3 powder having a particle size of less than 12 nm, i.e., below the theoretical room temperature thermodynamic size limit at which α-Al2O3 changes phase to γ-Al2O3, wherein the powder remains in the α-Al2O3 phase at all times.
