    摘要: To provide a machine tool including a workpiece inner surface machining tool which is not only capable of machining an inner surface of a workpiece into a spherical shape but also capable of machining a bearing surface which is a flat surface and machining the combination of a spherical surface and a flat surface. A machine tool 1 machines a surface to be machined m1 located on an inner surface of a workpiece 21 by a tool 20 having: a supporting member 22; a cutting tool 23 which is supported to be pivotable about a support shaft 19 located on a plane b′ perpendicular to an axis a of the supporting member 22 and has a cutting edge 23a at one end; a drive shaft 24 pivoting the cutting tool 23 by moving in an axis a direction; and a link member 25. The tool 20 is supported by a tool post 5, the drive shaft 24 is movable in the axial direction by the movable base 4, and an axial position of the movable base 4 and an axial position of the tool post 5 are controlled so as to cause a machining point P by the cutting edge 23a to move along a desired machining line while the workpiece 21 is rotated by the spindle headstock 3.

    摘要: A tool for working a workpiece has a slot provided between a pair of extremities at its distal end. The extremities have cutting blades mounted thereon. The slot is configured to receive a plate. The tool has a conduit running along its axis for communication of pressurized fluid to the slot and plate. The plate directs flow of the pressurized fluid outward toward the extremities. The resulting outward force causes the extremities to bend outward, thereby urging the cutting blades outward for cutting, reaming, or other working of the workpiece. The resilience of the tool causes the extremities to return back inward when the fluid pressure is reduced. A plate may be configured to receive a wafer for transferring force from the pressurized fluid to the extremities.

A rotary table 16 and a rotary base 24 are rotated in such a manner that a tool axis direction of said haling tool is substantially coincided with a normal direction of said machined surface. A tool holder 32 is rotated in such a manner that a front rake surface of the haling tool 34 is substantially directed in perpendicular to a feeding direction of said haling tool 34. A workpiece table holding a workpiece and the tool holder are relatively moved along a machined surface of said workpiece in three perpendicular axes including an axis parallel to said first rotating axis.

    摘要: A method for deburring and tool for use therein wherein workpiece-engaging portions of a cutter of the tool prevent the cutting of chamfers to hole edges of boreholes. The tool removes burrs from a drilling operation performed on a steering yoke. The yoke includes two boreholes on parallel legs that are drilled in line with one another. The boreholes must be burr-free with little or no chamfer. The cutter is spring-urged or loaded to pivot on a cylindrical shaft to expose cutting edges of the cutter after a predetermined amount of angular movement from a substantially vertical position. The workpiece-engaging portions prevent the cutter from digging in and cutting the chamfers. The cutter rotates into retracted positions within the shaft to allow the cutter to pass through the drilled boreholes so that the cutting edges of the cutter can deburr surfaces of the yoke at both sides of each of the legs.
