    摘要: A biopsy instrument driver includes a drive member having a laterally extending catch arm and movable between a distal, fired position and a proximal, armed position. A reversible motor has a rotatable output comprising or otherwise being operatively connected to a drive shaft, such that activation of the motor rotates the drive shaft. A translating member is threadably coupled to the drive shaft, wherein rotation of the drive shaft causes axial translation of the translating member along the drive shaft. A latch base is operatively associated with the translating member. A latch arm is pivotally coupled to the latch base, and has a distal portion configured to selectively engage and retain the drive member catch arm, and a proximal portion operatively coupled to the translating member, such that movement of the translating member relative to the latch base pivots latch arm distal portion.

    摘要: In some embodiments, a redundant control system includes first and second control systems, having first and second clutches, and a shared clutch system. The shared clutch system may include a shared shaft configured to receive mechanical energy from a shared power source, a first shared clutch corresponding to the first clutch and configured to receive mechanical energy from the shared shaft, and a second shared clutch corresponding to the second clutch and configured to receive mechanical energy from the shared shaft. A first linkage provides mechanical communication between an output of the first clutch, an output of the first shared clutch, and a first output device in mechanical communication with the rotor system. A second linkage provides mechanical communication between an output of the second clutch, an output of the second shared clutch, and a second output device in mechanical communication with the rotor system.

    摘要: A subsea electric actuator comprises an electric motor and a telescopic drive connection (8) from the motor to a drive unit (10, 11, 12) which can be moved to and fro and converts rotary motion of the connection to linear motion of an actuating stem (5). A return spring (14) is operable on the drive unit to urge the actuating stem towards a datum state. An electromagnetic latch (15) is operative when set to maintain the drive unit in a predetermined position so as to decouple the action of the return spring whereby the stem can be advanced and retracted relative to the drive unit free from the action of the return spring. De-energization of the latch allows the return spring to operate on the drive unit to return the actuating stem to the datum state. Various forms of electromagnetic latch are described.

    摘要: A fine adjustment mechanism includes a connecting unit and a fine-tuning bolt having a bolt shaft and a bolt head. The bolt shaft has a threaded section rotatably engaged with the connecting unit, a non-threaded section between the threaded section and the bolt head, and an annular protrusion projecting outwardly and radially from an outer surface of the non-threaded section and spaced apart from the bolt head. A retaining unit is molded over the fine-tuning bolt and covers the annular protrusion and portions of the non-threaded section which are proximate to two opposite annular end surfaces of the annular protrusion. The fine-tuning bolt is rotatable relative to the retaining unit. The connecting unit is movable along the threaded section when the fine-tuning bolt is rotated.

    摘要: A method of locking a linear output member in a retracted position within a linear actuator, where the linear output member is capable of axial motion within a housing of the linear actuator, includes rotating a generally tubular rotor disposed within a rotary lock assembly of the actuator to a first rotor position, and shifting a lock capable of radial displacement within the rotary lock assembly based on rotating the rotor to the first position. The lock engages a radial groove of the linear output member when the linear output member is in a retracted position. The rotary lock assembly is constrained from axial motion. The radial groove of the linear output member includes an axially angled, substantially planar surface. The lock is configured to include an axially angled surface shaped complimentary to the axially angled, substantially planar surface of the radial groove.
