    摘要: A dual cam lock apparatus comprising a locking blade, a rotatable lock, a first cam and a second cam. The first cam comprises a first cam body and a first arm extending from the first cam body. The first cam is rotatable by the rotatable lock to move the first arm in and out of contact with the locking blade. The second cam comprises a second cam body with at least one slot therethrough which receives at least one protrusion of the first cam, and a second arm extending from the second cam body and coupled with the locking blade. The slot has an angular span across which the protrusion rotates before further rotation of the protrusion causes rotation of the second cam, whereby rotation of the second cam rotates the second arm to move the locking blade between the locking and release position.

    摘要: The invention is a decklid latch with a SMA actuator. The actuator includes a latch plate with a ratchet rotatably mounted to the latch plate and is pivotal between a released position and an engaged position operable to retain a striker. A pawl is rotatably mounted to the latch plate and is pivotal between a an engaged position operable to retain the ratchet, and a release position operable to allow the ratchet to pivot. An selectively-contractible wire is connected to the pawl by a lost motion connection and is operable to move the pawl to the release position when contracted to actuate the latch. Portions of the selectively contractible wire have been annealed to reduce brittleness. Multiple material crimps are used to further reduce strain on the selectively contractible wire.

    摘要: A lock unit for a vehicle includes a rotatable catch biased in an opening direction about a catch rotation axis toward an open position of the lock unit in which a first recess of the catch is configured to receive a striker of the vehicle. Additionally, the catch includes a second recess disposed before the first recess in the opening direction. A pawl including a slot rotatable about a fixed pawl pivot axis is biased toward both the catch and the pawl pivot axis. The pawl includes a blocking arm which extends into the second recess of the catch when the lock unit is in a secondary latched position. A blocking lever of a ratchet abuts the blocking arm of the pawl against the catch in a primary latched position of the lock unit preventing rotation of the pawl away from the catch. When the lock unit is forced from the secondary latched position to the primary latched position, the pawl moves in a longitudinal direction of the slot avoiding the rotational blocking action of the ratchet.

    摘要: A vehicle door latch (10) has a housing (2) having a mouth (4) for receiving a striker. A ratchet (56) is pivotally mounted to the housing for rotation between latched and unlatched conditions. The ratchet (56) cooperates with the mouth (4) to selectively retain a striker. A pawl (62) is mounted to the housing (2) for releasably engaging the ratchet (56). The pawl (62) is moveable relative to the ratchet (56) between a rest position engaging the ratchet to block movement of the ratchet toward the unlatched condition and a released position disengaging the ratchet to allow movement of the ratchet toward the unlatched condition. A release lever (22) is mounted to the housing and operably connected to the pawl (62) by a clutch lever (94) extending therebetween. The clutch lever (94) is moveable between an engaged position operably connecting the release lever (22) to the pawl (62) effecting movement of the pawl toward the released position and a disengaged position operably disconnecting the release lever from the pawl. A locking lever (100) is mounted to the housing for moving the clutch lever (94) between the engaged and disengaged positions. The clutch lever (94) moves in a first plane (19) to effect movement of the pawl and the locking lever moves the clutch lever out the first plane (19) to effect movement between the engaged and said disengaged positions.

    摘要: A latching assembly that requires three distinct operations must be performed with two hands to allow the handle of the latch assembly to be rotated to unlock a cabinet door or the like. The assembly provides substantial flexibilities in installation. A base portion is secured to a door and receives a handle portion with a shaft attached, the shaft extending through the sleeve. Cooperative rotation restriction portions on the handle and on the base portion restrict the motion of the handle to a limited rotation range. Said limited rotation range may be altered by moving a key guide in one of the cooperative rotation restriction portions. A first release mechanism comprising a trigger portion which extends from the handle and a detent which engages a detent opening in the base portion requires depression of the trigger portion before rotation of the handle to an unlatched position. The detent mechanism is within the handle and a cap contained and encloses in the detent mechanism. The cap portion has a bore which receives a second release mechanism which has a shaft portion that may be exteriorly manipulated to move an obstructing member into and out of an obstructing relation with the detent. Thus, the second release mechanism must be manipulated to allow release of the trigger portion which must then be depressed to allow rotation of the handle. The cap portion is secured in the handle by screws or other threaded members extending from the handle base portion interface into the cap.

The driving apparatus comprises a driving pull-rod, a transmission gear, an inertia clutching gear, an active gear and a motor. The apparatus provides a solution to wear of the gears, dislocation of the gears, and “dead lock” of the driving pull-rod, and gear damages as a result of shock caused by dislocation of transmission gear modules. At instantaneous driving, the driving pull-rod can be driven more smoothly and stable as a result of the inertia gap between the gear modules.

    摘要: A conversion apparatus has a magnetic latching solenoid equipped with a special plunger shaft and piston mechanism which can move independently of the plunger, allowing mechanical locks to operate with momentary battery power. The plunger shaft is bored to accept the piston which consists of an inner shaft and a locking pin. The locking pin and inner shaft are secured to the plunger shaft with a light spring. With this mechanism, the operation of locking and unlocking is complete, regardless of readiness of the locking device, since the locking pin will move to the intended position of locking/unlocking after momentary prevention such as premature twisting of the lock knob.

    摘要: A rod casing for activating vertically arranged latch bolts, the casing and latch bolts arranged in an active stile of a door and engageable to a door frame. The rod casing provides a vertically slidable actuator cam engageable by both a lock/unlock actuator and a delatch or dogging actuator. The lock/unlock actuator and the delatch actuator are rotatably mounted upon a spindle piece which itself is rotatable by a user such as by a key-activated lock cylinder. The lock/unlock actuator when rotated slidingly abuts the actuator cam and drives the actuator cam vertically upward to cause unlatching of the latch bolts. The delatch actuator, upon rotation of the spindle piece in an opposite direction underlies the actuator cam and dogs the actuator cam in its vertically risen position. To deactivate the delatch actuator, the lock/unlock actuator can be rotated to interfere and displace the delatch actuator to release the actuator cam from the dogging position. The actuator cam is composed of a resilient material to allow the delatch actuator to engage the actuator cam in a spring-like or resiliently compressible fashion to help hold the actuator cam in its dogging position.
