    摘要: An optical reading device of a scanning apparatus includes a housing, two movable mirror clamps and two supporting plates. The housing contains therein a light source, a mirror set, a lens and an image sensor. These two movable mirror clamps are used for clamping both edges of a specific reflective mirror of said mirror set such that the position of said specific reflective mirror is adjustable by an assembler. These two supporting plates are protruded from opposite sides of said housing for supporting said movable mirror clamps.

    摘要: An image reader adopting an off-axial optical system, an adjustable imaging mirror and a CCD fixed to a highly rigid structure. Since the relative position between reflecting and imaging mirrors can be set highly accurately, adjusting only the CCD-mounting position allows a required specification of the read image to be met. The imaging mirror can easily be adjusted without distorting the reflecting surface. The reflecting and imaging mirrors, and the CCD-mounting-position adjuster are positioned directly to reflecting-mirror supporting sections, imaging-mirror supporting sections, and CCD supporting sections, which are integrated with a carriage casing, and fixed to them. The CCD is fixed to the carriage casing with the CCD-mounting-position adjuster. An imaging mirror close to a diaphragm and adjacent to the image is supported by a mirror adjusting plate, which can be displaced to adjust the position of the imaging mirror.

By performing information through adjustment using the adjustment chart, there are provided an adjusting method of image reading apparatus and an image reading apparatus which provide high quality image.

    摘要: A scanning module of the present invention includes a light source for illuminating a document. Light reflected by the document is incident to a first and a second mirror provided in a pair. The two mirrors reflect the light a plurality of times therebetween and then output it as light reflected from the first mirror. Subsequently, a third and a fourth mirror sequentially reflect the light along a path including a lens. A fifth mirror reflects the light incident thereto from the lens. A linear sensor is spaced from the fifth mirror by a preselected distance such that the light passed through the lens is focused on the linear sensor. The first and second mirrors are adjustable in position on a path, extending from the document to the first mirror, while maintaining a positional relation therebetween.

    摘要: In an image reading apparatus having an easy-toad-just optical system, a unit is composed of a first sub-unit including an image forming lens and a second sub-unit including a solid-state image pickup element. The first sub-unit and the second sub-unit are mutually adjusted in position in X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis while the two sub-units are also adjustable around X-axis and Z-axis. After the first sub-unit and the second sub-unit are adjusted using a tool, the unit is then assembled into the apparatus. The unit is rotated around an optical axis of the image forming lens for adjustment of perpendicularity. The unit is also rotated around a line direction of the solid-state image pickup element for adjustment of scanning synchronization (the reading position in a sub-scan direction).

The optical reader embodiment is provided with the molded supporting member that integrally secures a plurality of blocks supporting the optical elements including a plurality of reflection mirrors that guide the reflection light onto the reader element, a focus lens that focuses the reflection light projected from these reflection mirrors onto the reader element, and the reader element, respectively. Spring clips are used to secure the reflection mirrors to corresponding blocks of the molded supporting member.
