Abstract:
There is provided a printing apparatus comprises a holding unit configured to hold a roll sheet. The printing apparatus performs: supplying the sheet by rotating the roll sheet held by the holding unit; nipping and conveying the supplied sheet; performing printing on the conveyed sheet; detecting occurrence of a print medium jam of the sheet; and, if the printing apparatus has detected a print medium jam of the sheet, performing a control process of supplying the sheet in a state in which the conveying is stopped.
Abstract:
A feed device includes: a feed tray configured to accommodate a roll, in which a medium is rolled in a roll shape, rotatably; a housing configured to support the feed tray installable; and a pull-back mechanism configured to pull back the medium unrolled from the roll in a direction orthogonal to a rotation axis of the roll in conjunction with an outward movement of the feed tray from the housing in the direction orthogonal to the rotation axis of the roll.
Abstract:
There is provided a printing apparatus including: a frame; a platen facing a thermal head; a moving mechanism having first and second rollers; a motor; a transmitting mechanism; a clutch provided on the transmitting mechanism; a communication interface performing communication with an external apparatus; and a controller. The controller is configured to: start the driving of the motor toward one direction in a state that the clutch is in the connected state, after receiving a print signal, indicating that the print medium is located at a printable position; and to allow the clutch to be in a cutoff state and stop the driving of the motor toward the one direction, after ending of printing in accordance of the receiving of the print signal and before arrival of the moving mechanism at an end on a second side, opposite to the first side, in the specified direction of the moving range.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are disclosed for maintaining an orderly automatic feed of fanfolded continuous - supply index cards and self-contained carbon copies from a respository into a typewriter, propelled by platen rotation of the typewriter. The device also provides a means of orderly and automatic discharge of the typed cards from the typewriter, delivering them to a location clear of the machine for further processing.
Abstract:
A mounting apparatus for mounting a printing apparatus to a structure includes an attachment part, which is attachable to the structure, and a support member upon which a printing apparatus is supportable. The support member enables the printing apparatus to be located in a desired position along a first axis, which extends in a first direction relative to the structure, and wherein at least a part of a footprint of the support member defined in a first plane, which is substantially transverse to the first axis, overlaps at least a part of a footprint of the printing apparatus defined in a second plane, which is substantially transverse to the first axis.
Abstract:
The invention provides an image forming apparatus and an image forming method capable of smoothly and reasonably conducting image formation in case of using a lens (lenses) of which optical magnification is minus. An image forming apparatus of the invention comprises: a line head having lenses of which optical magnification is minus and a light emitter array in which a plurality of light emitting elements are aligned. The lenses are plural in an axial direction (main scanning direction) of an image carrier and a direction (sub scanning direction) perpendicular to the axial direction. A light emitter block composed of “m×n” (in number) light emitting elements is disposed relative to each lens. The “m×n” light emitting elements comprises “n” (in number) light emitting element lines arranged in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction and each light emitting element line includes “m” (in number) light emitting elements aligned in the axial direction. The image forming apparatus further comprises: a control means for actuating the respective light emitting elements to emit lights to be inversed in the axial direction and the direction perpendicular to the axial direction to form an image on the image carrier. In this manner, images of plural colors are formed on the image carrier at once.
Abstract:
Apparatus for use with a printer which has a pair of tractors that engage sprocket holes in the paper to adjust for different paper widths or to adjust the lateral position of the paper. The apparatus comprises a pair of coaxial lead screws, one attached to a rotatable shaft and the second rotatable on the shaft adjacent to and relative to the one lead screw. One tractor is coupled to each lead screw. Rotation of the one lead screw is obtained by a knob keyed to an end of the rotatable shaft. Rotation of the second lead screw is prevented during rotation of the knob by spring loaded fingers with detent elements engageable with detention gearing on the end of the second lead screw. Rotation of both screws is obtained by rotation and axial movement of the knob on the shaft so that a cam surface on the knob engages cams of the spring fingers to disengage detent elements from the detention gearing and drive gearing on the knob engages drive gearing on the second lead screw.
Abstract:
A paper compartment in which roll paper can be held has an opening positioned along the second axial end of the roll paper and a wall positioned along the first axial end of the roll paper in the axial direction. The paper loading member can be removably installed in the paper compartment through the opening. The paper loading member has a flange and a roll support member that projects from the flange and is inserted into the paper. When roll paper is held in the paper compartment, the paper loading member is installed in the paper compartment with a first side of the flange contacting the first axial end of the paper, and the roll support member is inserted into the roll paper. When the paper loading member is installed in the paper compartment, the first side of the flange faces the opening.
