摘要: A parallel resonant circuit with excellent distortion and saturation characteristics is provided at low power consumption. A first power-supply voltage is applied to the parallel resonant circuit. In the parallel resonant circuit, a variable resistor includes one or more parallel-connected branches. Each of the branches includes a series circuit of a resistor and a MOS switch. A second power supply supplies power of control signals applied to respective gates of the MOS switches, and supplies back gate voltages to the MOS switches. A power-supply voltage of the second power supply is higher than the first power-supply voltage.

摘要: A multi-mode driver and method therefore includes a plurality of amplifiers, an adjustable load block, and adjustable current supply circuitry that selectively adjusts current magnitudes supplied to at least one of the plurality of amplifiers. The multi-mode driver can operate in a KR mode with a higher voltage supply, an SR4 mode with the higher voltage supply, and an SFI mode with a lower voltage supply. To support these modes, the multi-mode driver selectively operates a plurality of amplifiers, adjusts current magnitudes supplied to the amplifiers, and selectively adjusts an adjustable load. Thus, the multi-mode driver is operable to selectively and efficiently produce high swing and low swing output signals and to efficiently operate with any one of a plurality of supplies. The driver includes selectable loads and parallel-coupled amplifier devices that are selected based on mode.

摘要: A chopper amplifier and method of operation are described. The chopper amplifier comprises a first chopper arranged to modulate an input signal using a first chopper signal having a chopper frequency. An amplification stage has an input arranged to receive the chopped signal and an output, and supplies an amplified signal at the output. An output chopper is arranged to integrate the amplified signal using a second chopper signal having the chopper frequency to generate an amplified output signal. The amplification stage is further configured to filter the chopped signal to attenuate signal components having frequencies lower than the chopper frequency.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for buffering RF signals. A method includes receiving an input signal, wherein the input signal alternates between a first polarity and a second polarity. From the input signal, a first current is generated, wherein the first current is proportional to the input signal when the input signal has the first polarity, and approximately equal to zero when the input signal has the second polarity, and a second current is generated, wherein the second current is proportional to the input signal when the input signal has the second polarity, and approximately equal to zero when the input signal has the first polarity. A third current is generated proportional to the first current, and a fourth current is generated proportional to the second current. The first and fourth currents are applied to a first terminal of an inductor; and the second and third currents are applied to a second terminal of the inductor.

摘要: Embodiments of a high-linearity low-noise amplifier (LNA) are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed. In some embodiments, an RF input signal may be amplified with a cascode amplifier. The cascode amplifier may include integrated notch filters to attenuate undesired signals. The cascode amplifier may operate from a large power supply when blockers are present to avoid voltage swing compression at its output. The cascode amplifier may be biased and designed to operate in a class AB mode to produce linear output current to avoid current compression or excessive current expansion.
