Abstract: A laundry appliance includes a tub having a rear wall that includes a plurality of structural ribs. A drive hub has a bearing housing insert injection molded into the rear wall. A stator is attached to the drive hub at stator fastening portions exposed through the rear wall of the tub. A reinforcing cap is fixed to the structural ribs of the rear wall of the tub. The bearing housing of the drive hub extends rearwards through a portion of the reinforcing cap. The stator fastening portions are exposed through the reinforcing cap.

Abstract: A drive device includes a transmission in a housing, and a flow path. The transmission includes a shaft and a bearing supporting the shaft. The housing has a bearing holding portion that includes a facing surface on a first side in an axial direction with respect to an end on the first side of the shaft and orthogonal to the axial direction, and an inner surface extending from the facing surface to the other, second side in the axial direction and supporting the bearing. The flow path includes an inflow portion and an outflow portion below the inflow portion, both open to the inner surface. The facing surface has a rib protruding to the second side and orthogonal to the axial direction. At least a part of the rib is below the inflow portion, and at least a part of the rib covers the outflow portion from above.

The first end part includes a protruding distal end that passes through the first bearing and protrudes to an exterior of the housing. The rotation parameter detector is disposed on the protruding distal end.

Abstract: A permanent magnet (PM) motor is provided to facilitate air movement through heat rejection equipment. Abstract: A transmission mechanism device includes a transmission mechanism including a hollow shaft, and a bearing supporting an outer face of the shaft. A holder holding the bearing is on the inner face of a housing of the transmission mechanism. The holder has a facing face facing an end of the shaft, a tubular portion holding the bearing and protruding in the axial direction radially from the facing face, and a rib inside the tubular portion and protruding in the axial direction from the facing face. The rib extends in a concave shape opening upward. A lower end of an inner face of the rib is below an upper end of an inner face of the shaft when viewed from the axial direction. At least one end of the rib in an extending direction faces an inner face of the tubular portion via a gap when viewed from the axial direction.

Abstract: An electric motor assembly includes a circuit board, a rotor assembly, and a stator assembly having a first end coupled to the circuit board and a second end opposite the first end. The stator assembly also includes an annular stator body having a plurality of inwardly projecting teeth. The stator assembly further includes windings wrapped about the stator body to form a plurality of coils. The stator assembly also includes a terminal coupled to an outer periphery of the stator body and extending longitudinally between the first end and the second end. The terminal is coupled to the circuit board at the first end and is coupled to the windings at the second end to electrically connect the windings to the circuit board. The terminal is molded to an attachment member, and the attachment member is molded to the outer periphery of the stator body.

Abstract: A submersible pump electrical motor has a bearing hub between adjacent rotor sections. The bearing hub has a hub outward facing sidewall and a hub inward facing hub sidewall through which the shaft extends. A collar having a collar inward facing sidewall is rigidly mounted to the hub outward facing sidewall. The collar has a collar outward facing sidewall spaced from stator sidewall by an annular clearance. A slit in the collar extends from the collar inward facing sidewall to the collar outward facing sidewall. An anti-rotation spring has a supporting portion inwardly biased against the hub outward facing sidewall and a locking portion protruding outward through the slit into engagement with the groove to prevent rotation of the hub and the collar.

Abstract: A power tool includes a housing having a rear wall, a motor assembly coupled to the rear wall, and a plurality of mounting legs projecting from the rear wall toward the motor assembly. The motor assembly defines a motor axis, and includes a stator assembly defining a plurality of axially extending mounting apertures. Each mounting leg defines a threaded boss corresponding to a respective mounting aperture of the stator assembly, and each threaded boss is configured to receive a threaded fastener. The mounting legs are angularly spaced at unequal intervals about the motor axis.

Abstract: Provided are a slim-type stator using a multilayer printed circuit board (PCB) in which a coil pattern is patterned on an uppermost PCB layer and a sensing coil pattern for detecting a rotor rotation position is integrally formed in a margin of the uppermost PCB layer, to thereby realize sensorless driving simply, and a sensorless single-phase motor using the slim-type stator, and a cooling fan using the sensorless single-phase motor. The slim-type stator includes: a multilayer PCB; a coil pattern patterned on respective PCB layers of the multilayer PCB and connected through throughholes; and a sensing coil pattern formed on an uppermost PCB layer to detect a rotor rotation position, wherein the sensing coil pattern is positioned and set at a position deviated from a magnetic pole interface of a rotor that is positioned and set by a dead point prevention yoke when the rotor is in an initial state.
