    摘要: A spacer for an electron emission display and an electron emission display containing the spacer. The spacer includes an insulating member having a predetermined shape, and at least one inner electrode laterally inserted into the insulating member. A portion of the inner electrode is exposed to an outer side of the insulating member. The electron emission display includes: an electron emission substrate having an electron emission region containing an electron emission device thereon; an image-forming substrate having an image forming region adapted to light from electrons emitted by the electron emission device; and at least one spacer for spacing apart the electron emission substrate from the image-forming substrate. At least one inner electrode is inserted into the spacer, and at least a portion of the inner spacer is exposed to the exterior of the spacer.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a first substrate, a potential-regulated conductive element, a second substrate having an electrode and an anode electrode connected to the electrode via a resistor, and a spacer which abuts on the conductive element, electrode and anode electrode to regulate a distance between the first and second substrates. The spacer includes a base material. A first resistor film covers a side face of the base material and is electrically connected to the conductive element, electrode and anode electrode. A second resistor film covers a portion of the spacer facing the resistor, and is electrically connected to the electrode and anode electrode. A sheet resistance value of the second resistor film is less than a sheet resistance value of the first resistor film. A resistance value of the second resistor film between the electrode and anode electrode is greater than a resistance value of the resistor.

    摘要: Provided is a crystallized glass spacer for a field emission display resistant to charging with application of an electric field and resistant to chipping or cracking thanks to high fracture toughness.An SiO2—TiO2-based glass is subjected to a reduction and crystallization heat treatment at 600-900° C. in a hydrogen atmosphere or in a mixed atmosphere of hydrogen and nitrogen, to obtain a crystallized glass spacer for FED consisting essentially of, in molar percentage, SiO2: 20-50%, TiO2: 25-45%, MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO+ZnO: 20-50%, B2O3+Al2O3: 0-10% and ZrO2: 0-10%, and containing as a principal crystal at least one crystal selected from BaXTi8O16-based crystals (X=0.8-1.5), Ba2TiSi2O8-based crystals and TiO2-based crystals.
